Adding conditions for Automated Clearing House commercial dispute handling

Updated on March 21, 2023

The IsCommercialDispute when rule in the PegaCard-Sd-Debit-ACH class evaluates the SEC code to determine if the transaction should be processed as a commercial dispute.

Pega Smart Dispute for Issuers Implementation Guide
Before you begin:

If the SEC code is CCD, the Automated Clearing House (ACH) returns the R05 reason code. If the SEC code is CTX the ACH returns the R31 reason code. For either of these SEC codes, the customer is given immediate credit and the dispute status is Resolved-WrittenOff. This is managed by the CommercialDisputeFlow in the PegaCardSdACH class.

  1. In the Dev Studio header search text field, enter IsCommercialDispute and select the PegaCard-Sd-Debit-ACH when rule from the results.
  2. Click Save as.
  3. In the Apply to field, select the appropriate implementation class for your application.
  4. In the Add to ruleset list, select the ruleset for your application.
  5. Click Create and open
  6. Add criteria for evaluation, if necessary.
  7. Click Save.
  8. To extend the flow to include bank-specific actions, repeat the previous steps for the CommercialDisputeFlow flow rule. Modify the flow, as necessary.
