Configuring exceptions ranking and claim disposition

Updated on November 3, 2020

The RankExceptions data transform rule ranks a claim exception and sets the claim disposition value for the highest ranked exception. You can use the ExceptionsRanking decision table to rank the exceptions.

  1. In Dev Studio, search for ExceptionsRanking and select the PegaMfg-Data-ClaimCmp- ClaimExceptionCode decision table from the results.
  2. Save the rule into your implementation layer and then update them with your business logic.
If you want to decide the total claim disposition for any exception code, add that exception code in this table and give the highest rank (i.e, the least number). Then, the disposition defined for this exception in the ExceptionCodesMapping table will control the claim disposition.
  3. Remove the Claim Exceptions top-level page that may be present from previous processing to make sure that the exceptions are generated again.

Refer to the Claim Validation chapter in the Pega Warranty 8.2 Implementation Guide for more details.
