External mapping definitions will be used for exported property names

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.2

Under the "External Mapping" tab on the class definition, if the property names specified were not the exact format as the column names defined in the database table, an exception was generated when using the "Export" feature. For this functionality, the system was generating an SQL which used the property names instead of column names. This resulted in an invalid column exception and the export did not work. To correct this, updates have been made to NativeSqlApiResolver in the function resolver to check for the property name and replace it with mapping defined in external mapping.

Value Finder updated for use with external Cassandra nodes

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

Attempting to use the Value Finder feature resulted in the error "Running Simulation is not possible because the required services are not available. Contact your System Administrator to enable the data flow and decisioning data store services." Analysis traced this to a check which identifies whether there is more than one internal node available for CDH/ DSS node. Since there were only external nodes available in this scenario and no internal nodes, the method returned false and returned the error when the CDH / VF page was launched. To resolve this, the check has been modified to allow for external Cassandra.

Corrected test connection for LDAP AuthService using keystore

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.4

When using a AuthService rule defined for LDAP using ldaps:// and a KeyStore rule that was defined to reference a local file in the server, the Test Connection button on the AuthService rule did not work and generated the following exception: "com.pega.apache.commons.httpclient.contrib.ssl.AuthSSLInitializationError: I/O error reading keystore/truststore file: null". Investigation showed that file reference keystore did not work with an LDAPS test connection because while run time used the LDAPVerifyCredentials activity, the design time validation used the activity “ValidateInfrastructure” which did not have the required code to support file reference keystore. This has been corrected.

Documentation updated for accents and special characters used in search

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

The "Pega search API" article has been updated to reflect that the search functionality in Pega Platform does not match accented words with unaccented. For example, searching for santé and sante will retrieve different results. In addition, Domain Specific Language (DSL) includes special characters for use when searching, for example '-', '_', '!', '@'. However, the system retrieves various results depending on the way the special characters are used in the search query. If the query contains special characters that are not escaped, the system may retrieve incorrect results. For example, not escaping the slash mark in the 25/02 query may cause the system to ignore the special character.

Resolved importing PublicFormat file using RuleFromFile Wizard

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.4

When attempting to create a flow from a Public Format XML file using the Rule From File Wizard, the following error was seen: "Problem invoking function: pega_procom_harvest.performXSLT--(String,String,boolean,HashStringMap)". This was caused by a mapping failure related to the pyComments property in baseclass pega social functionality, and has been resolved with the addition of a new page group property pyComments of type "Data-MO-Annotation-Comment" which applies to "Embed-Rule-Obj-Flow-ProcessModel". In addition, a system property set has been added:'System.setProperty("javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory","com.sun.org.apache.xalan.internal.xsltc.trax.TransformerFactoryImpl");' to make the security flags work properly in java step of 'transformPublicFlow' activity

Decision Table keeps proper values when a column is deleted

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.2

When the first column in a Decision Table was deleted and the rule saved, the value that was in the second column was replaced in the first row. This has been corrected.

Fixed expand when issue on dymanic layout with custom header

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.2

After upgrade, a Dynamic layout with collapsible type Container setting which included a custom section to show the text and image in place of text had an 'expand when' condition applied that caused the entire dynamic layout to be malformed and show the raw HTML code if there was an error. This was traced to the system rendering the dynamic layout in non-template form if the header has a JSP section include, leading to the expandable layout header div HTML elements getting mixed up with the custom header sections HTML code due to the aria-label attributes. This has been resolved by removing the section stream from aria-label in RUF - GridHeaderElements.

Handling added for missing div when opening work object

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

In mobile offline app, opening a work object in a specific scenario for the second time resulted in an endless busy indicator. It was not possible to navigate away, and the app had to be closed and reopened to continue. Investigation showed that some app sections had an action that tried to load a harness section where one specific div was missing, and this has been resolved by updating reloadSectionOSCOHandler to handle the missing div in the failure callback. Additionally a console.error() will appear for the missing section.

Admin Studio will consider cluster protocol when returning listener status

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

When using a few nodes in standalone mode for BIX extract combined with server nodes using Hazelcast, opening the admin studio pages with service discovery caused an error to be thrown. This was traced to the system writing an entry to pr_sys_statusnodes table as an embedded node whenever a BIX extract was triggered, causing those standalone nodes to be incorrectly considered by the listener landing page. This has been resolved by configuring the system to either return the local member when the cluster protocol is standalone or to return all Hazelcast members if the cluster protocol is Hazelcast.

Bulk actions filter works properly when additional filters are added

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.2

The Bulk Actions filter was not working if other filters were used in conjunction with it. Investigation showed that when 'assigned to operator' was given a value, the values were fetched properly. When an additional condition was added, the section 'pyBulkProcessingSearchSection' activity called 'pzDefaultOperators' which then set the 'pyUserIdentifier' value to null, and no results were returned. As the activity already had a step to check if the .pyUsage!="Operator" and only then property-set, pyUserIdentifier = "", the subsequent step to set the pyUserIdentifier = "" and override the previous step has been removed.
