Resolved error when using IHSummary as a predictor

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

After configuring the adaptive model and implementing delayed learning with IHSummary as a predictor, the exception "dataflow.StageException" appeared when the strategy was executed as part of the dataflow run. This has been resolved by implementing a cache expiry of 5 minutes.

Batching now enabled when using IH Summary shape in substrategies

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4

Batching was not being enabled when using IH Summary shape in substrategies. This was traced to the IH_SUMMARY_CACHE field not automatically being passed to sub-strategies, and has been corrected.

Resolved errors when using Build Model from the Preview Console

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.6

Using the Web Chatbot interface and trying to perform Build Model action from Preview Console failed with multiple errors, either "This action is not allowed as it is outside the current transaction" or "class <blank> doesn't exist". This was traced to issues with the transaction during model update, and has been resolved by conditionally disabling the show page step of pzGetModelProcessStatus. This step creates a difference in the context of the current transaction and is disabled when called from Update API.

Batching now enabled when using IH Summary shape in substrategies

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.1

Batching was not being enabled when using IH Summary shape in substrategies. This was traced to the IH_SUMMARY_CACHE field not automatically being passed to sub-strategies, and has been corrected.

Backwards compatibility enhancement for @when() validation

Resolved in Pega Version 7.3.1

After upgrade, a Strategy rule which referred a 'when' with the syntax @when(isOnlineApplication) was failing with design time validation saying that when rule was not found in the SR and instead it had to find it in the Customer/Applies to class. For the @when() issue, the root cause was that the validation context of @when() was switched from Applies-To class to the Step Page class due to a change in the core engine. The behavior of expression parsing for when rule calls was changed in release 7.2. It used to take the Apply-to class to validate the existence of the rule, but not it is taking the Step Page class. And Strategy rule doesn't push/pop stackframe due to performance reasons, thus StepPage on stack for Strategy is always the same as Primary page. For greater compatibility, the system will set the PageContextClass to the Apply To class so the expression parser can validate the setup which is expected at run-time.

Refinements made to MarkerNode memory use

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

Significant memory usage can be observed when data join in strategies are missing the join conditions. E.g., when the primary source in the strategy can have up to 300 or even more propositions, the join without the join condition would perform a cartesian product with possibly up to 400 or even more records returned. This may cause performance degradation. To guard against this, an update has been made that seeks to prevent repetitive markers being accumulated under a MarkerNode while trying not to rely on any implementation of equality and hashCode for individual marker implementations.

Refinements made to MarkerNode memory use

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5

Significant memory usage can be observed when data join in strategies are missing the join conditions.
