Resolved duplicate portal open when using Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.9
When using Microsoft Internet Explorer 11, trying to access the My Group tab in the links 'Manage Operator Schedules and Profiles' was not displaying the screen correctly on click of any operator or workbasket and an extra portal window was opened. This was a browser-specific dynamic container issue where the lack of an explicit type=button declaration was causing a form submit that triggered a main page refresh. That declaration has been added.

Random ID generation changed to use OpenSAML
Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.8
In certain cases, SSO setup with SAML 2.0 failed with the message "Unable to process the SAML WebSSO request: Unable to process SAML2 Authentication". The error was due to the generated ID being sent with a "+" character in it which could not be handled smoothly. To avoid this issue, the system has been changed to use the OpenSAML API instead of using UUID when generating random IDs for all types of WebSSO requests.

XMLSecurity library updated to ensure proper SAML STS token signature verification
Resolved in Pega Version 7.2
Classes of Repackaged version of XML Security library were conflicting with JDK/container and causing sporadic signature failures. The ApacheXMLDSig which gets registered as part of the initialization of WSS4j often conflicts with the providers with same name but loaded earlier during server startup. This has been resolved by modifying the XMLSecurity library to register the provider with a different/unique name that will not conflict with any of the standard registered providers.

Hazelcast will be used to determine node presence
Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2
When calling logoff from the end user portal, sporadic PresenceStandardLifeCycleListener exceptions were seen during high load periods. This was traced to changes made in the Service Discovery behavior: when there is an issue with the node and heartbeats are missed, the node goes to Safe Mode. This caused the topology to change and trigger clearing off presence sessions, but the node still received service requests and this issue was seen. To resolve this, an updated has been made so the system will rely on the Hazelcast listener instead of service discovery to determine whether a node has left.
