Added reporting on descendant classes for framework

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

Reporting on descendant classes was not working as expected. In a report definition with "Reporting on descendant classes enabled," the framework class and implementation class each refers to two different tables that use the same names but belong to two different schemas. Investigation showed the generated SQL query was not adding the necessary UNION clause, and the records from the descendant classes were missing when running the report on framework class. This was a missed use case and has been corrected.

Resolved Sub Report Filter Criteria error

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

After upgrade from Pega 7 to Pega 8, Sub Report filter criteria were throwing a runtime error when pyPartyFullName from Index-WorkPartyUri was used as a filter condition. Under certain conditions, Sub Report and Main report use class joins with the Index-WorkPartyUri table to get the count of cases. In this case, the error was caused by the ValidateFilterValue edit rule passing the wrong class name for the sub report class join property. This has been resolved.

DataView rules and library files removed

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

After upgrade, the pzPresentationFUA library was failing while compiling with errors relating to references for com.pega.pegarules.priv.desktop.reporting.dataview not being resolved. This was due to an incomplete cleanup when data views were removed from use, and the library and rules have now been removed.

Explicit parent added for descendants in subreport to correct summary

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

When using a Report Definition with a Summarize column and a subreport with join class, it was not considering implementation class work objects. As a result, the prepared values were only partially computed. This was traced to the SubReport in SetQuery not having reference to a parent for the descendants classes, and has been resolved by explicitly setting the parent value.

Column Filter working with class join

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

When a class join was configured in the report definition and the report was edited to include new columns from the joined class, a "Filter condition invalid" error appeared in the tracer after adding a filter condition to a new column. This was only observed when the property added was a decimal property, and did not happen for a text property. The filter worked as expected after re-saving the property in the report definition in Designer Studio. This was traced to the data type being passed as "DECIMAL" for decimal fields, which did not match the logic used to set the filter value, and has been resolved.

Drilldown report takes original report prompt parameters

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

When a report had prompt filters configured and the summary report definition was executed by giving prompt filters, drilling down to one of the records in the summary report display and then looking at the reports displayed and summarized on a column showed a mismatched count. This was found to be a very specific edge case that involved calling the "Summarize" action from a report column within a drilldown report when using a custom filter section and "prompt for filter changes" on the main report. Filters from the custom filter section were being propagated to the drilldown report when summarizing, but the drilled-down-and-summarized report itself had not been refreshed on the client side to reflect this. To resolve this, the actions have been copied from pyDefaultCustomFilterApplyCancel and applied to the Summarize selection in pzGridMenuNavRule.

Reports display current format for SUM or Average columns

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

After upgrade, the currency format showed as expected ($) for non-aggregated columns, but when a column was changed to be an aggregated column using "SUM" or "Average", the currency format was not shown. This was traced to the activity Embed-ReportHtmlProp.pzMergeAutoGenForProp, which determines whether to format the column or not, and this issue has been resolved by adding a check for AVG and SUM before processing.

Ad hoc reports saved successfully in private categories

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

After upgrade, an error was seen when attempting to save an ad hoc report in a private category. Saving in a public category worked as expected. This was traced to the Rule-Shortcut.Validate activity, which attempted to use the Rule-Shortcut's RuleSet to find the Rule-Category. To resolve the saving issue, the Rule-Shortcut.Validate activity has been updated to do an Obj-Open on the Category instead.
