Application selections only announced when visible

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

The elements of the application switcher were being announced by the NVDA screen reader even when toggled off, i.e. not visible. The issue was occurring because the focus was remaining at the search bar even after closing the app switcher window, and has been resolved by adding the necessary logic to switch the focus.

Corrected error when persisting temporary work object

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.4

When persisting a temporary work object using the Persist case shape, the internal assignment handle was not updated to include the work object's ID. Subsequent attempts to access the internal assignment (such as the "Edit" button on the Review Harness) resulted in errors. Investigation showed that when a temporary case was persisted, pyInternalAssignmentHandle was not getting recalculated after pzInsKey was updated. To resolve this, the configuration on the edit button has been modified to use .pxFlow(pzInternalCaseFlow).pxAssignmentKey which is what pyInternalAssignmentHandle declare expression was also returning.

Search string wildcard use documentation updated

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

The support article for the search API has been updated to clarify the ability to use the wildcard character "*" by manually adding it to the prefix of each term in the search string.

Documentation updated for accents and special characters used in search

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

The "Pega search API" article has been updated to reflect that the search functionality in Pega Platform does not match accented words with unaccented. For example, searching for santé and sante will retrieve different results. In addition, Domain Specific Language (DSL) includes special characters for use when searching, for example '-', '_', '!', '@'. However, the system retrieves various results depending on the way the special characters are used in the search query. If the query contains special characters that are not escaped, the system may retrieve incorrect results. For example, not escaping the slash mark in the 25/02 query may cause the system to ignore the special character.

Help information updated for using Elastic Search with Report Definition

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

The support article "Configuring a report definition to run against an Elasticsearch index" has been updated to clarify that the search can pass multiple values with a space in pySearchString as it does OR operation on all the fields, and that filters in the report definition will be used when executing the report directly or when calling the report in the pxRetrieveSearchData activity. https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/system-administration/85/configuring-report-definition-run-against-elasticsearch-index

Dirty check added to offer save/discard changes when closing tab

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.4

With the OOTB section enabled, performing a change in the form (changing a text value, selecting a option in a dropdown, etc.) and closing the case generated an unexpected alert indicating that the case was changed and the modifications were lost. This differs from the previous behavior of showing the section pyDirtyCheckConfirm which offered the opportunity to save the work. This was a missed use case and has been resolved by updating the system to perform a check for the dirty state when closing the interaction and show a modal dialog asking the user to choose either save/discard if dirty.

INC-154189 · Issue 617247

Harness used to determine read-only for button/text input

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.4

If a button/text input was configured to always be editable in a section by using the /v1/cases/{ID}/pages/{pageID} API (say i.e PageID as Review), the button/text input was always returned as readonly. This was due to the API being hardcoded to return readonly info, and has been resolved by updating pzGetPageDetails to not force read-only and let the harness configuration decide the behavior.

Logic updated for DX API retrieving View/Action ID using embedded property

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

While calling the DX API using Assignment ID and action ID, a 500 error response was logged indicating that the server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request. Investigation traced this to the logic used for resolving an embedded property referenced in a control/field to identify the correct page class. In a non-work object context for flow actions the new assign page doesn't exist, but the system was checking for it and clearing off errors from the named page. This has been corrected.

INC-150172 · Issue 611774

Updated class handling for View field security

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.4

When using a defined View which returned a page and its fields and used an inherited custom work party definition, trying to update the pyWorkParty(Customer) by calling the "post /assignments/{ID}/{actionID}" did not work as expected when Field Security was ON. This was traced to the field security relying on the design time page class information stored in the list/group property, and has been updated to resolve the view fields using actual class information from the work page.

INC-149823 · Issue 608354

DX API returns properly referenced icon class for embedded page

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.4

When using the DX API to build an Angular JS UI, the response returned from the GET /cases/{ID}/actions/{actionID} api did not return the iconStyle for an icon class that uses a property reference when the flow is on an embedded page. This has been resolved by adding code to set the correct context for pzAPICreateJsonForModes and pzAPICreateJsonForField Rule-Utility-Function.
