Handling added for SSO servlet name

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.5

After update, logging into an external site was not working correctly due to the SSO URL being appended with "/app/default". This has been resolved by updating the code to handle the servlet name properly.

When rule inside a loop correctly picked

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.5

While using a 'when' rule inside a loop of a page list, the rule was not being picked during runtime. This has been resolved by adding an update to allow an assembly time class name to be passed into runtime.

Data page form displaying activity parameters from 'when' rules

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

While displaying the parameters list for source activity in data page rule form, an icon was displayed. This was traced to the visibility condition being an expression but mentioned as a 'when' rule, causing the parameter dialog to not load. This has been resolved by updating the pzActivityParamList activity to change the visibility condition as expression from a 'when' rule.

DASS switch added for use with older Connect Rest passing encoded inputs

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

As of Pega 8.2, an EmbedURL configuration in the REST connector was made available to provide flexibility to choose URL-encoding on an as-needed basis. In order to support connectors created prior to Pega 8.2, a configuration has been added to support usecases that pass encoded inputs to the connector execution. This is available by way of a connect/DisablePathDecoding DASS switch in the REST connector resource path parameters handling.

Topic name prefix support added for Kafka

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

An enhancement has been added to support the use of site-specific standards for the naming of queues. This can be used to add clarification between Kafka Topics created by Pega and those created for internal topics when using a shared Kafka Cluster. This is done using the new setting: <env name=”services/stream/name/pattern” value=”prefix{stream.name}postfix”/> .As an example, if tenant.name is resolved into "myco" and the environment into "prod1", value="{tenant.name}-{environment}-{stream.name}" will result in stream myco-prod1-{stream.name} By default, when stream.provider = EXTERNAL, the default will be “pega-{stream.name}” .

Custom header character encoding for Subject added

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.5

Case correspondence that contained a Subject with accent characters such as "Invitation à être" was being rejected by MailJet on the basis of encoding issues on the "Thread-Topic" when using custom headers. The error "BAD HEADER SECTION, Non-encoded non-ASCII data (and not UTF-8)" was generated. This was traced to the Send Email Smart Shape handling when using custom headers, and has been resolved by encoding the Subject before appending it to the Thread-topic header while adding custom headers.

Bulk actions check in preserves declare expression legacy setting

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.5

When a declare expression was saved in legacy mode with "Whenever used" selected in change tracking, performing a bulk check-in of the rule caused the expression to default to the new forward chaining method. This did not occur when using a direct check-in. Investigation showed this was caused by the check-in page holding a legacy value before the step execution, and has been resolved by adding a pre-save activity before the validation activity that will restore the .pyIsLegacy value from .pyExpressionTypeSelector, if set.

SR-D64558 · Issue 527678

AttachmentContent supports S3 storage

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

Using a D_AttachmentContent data page to display the contents of an attachment by way of the pyGetAttachmentContent activity worked when using the Pega database for storage, but generated an error stating CMIS access was disabled after switching to S3 storage. This was traced to restrictions on Link-Attachment pages in Step 2, Line 64 of pyGetAttachmentContent to enable attachment stream retrieval from web storage and repositories by D_AttachmentContent, which has now been removed. In addition, pyGetAttachmentContent has been updated to behave the same whether a Link-Attachment page or Data-WorkAttach page is provided when populateAttachStream is set to false, and the rule documentation (description/usage) has been updated accordingly.

INC-182572 · Issue 663555

Support added for multiple host proxy architecture

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.5

When using an architecture where certain types of users were sent through multiple proxy servers to get the Pega Cloud instance, an exception was generated at the point of accessing the environment. This was traced to the use of Apache 2.4 with mod_proxy. As the request passed through each proxy, the x-forwarded-host header had values appended to it by mod_proxy which resulted in the error "com.pega.pegarules.pub.context.PRSecurityException: Multiple host names in header X-forwarded-Host". This has been resolved by updating the code to support using a multiple host proxy configuration.

Correct time zone chosen for fr_Fr appointment function

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.5

When using the "fr_Fr" location and and "Europe/Paris" time zone for appointments, a null pointer exception was seen related to the function getStartOrEndDateTime. Investigation showed that the incorrect time zone was being picked from the fr_FR.xml file when parsing the date. To resolve this, 4 letter time zone codes have been moved above the 3 letter time zone codes.
