OneTimeUse cache file generation disabled for SAML2

Resolved in Pega Version 7.2.2

Whenever SAML2 Token contained a "OneTimeUse" caching condition there were thousands of unwanted files generated. This caching has been disabled in the assertion validation code of SAMLv2ResponseProtocolValidator.java, so even if SAML2 token contains that OneTimeUse condition these files will not be generated.

IDP SAML 2.0 schema validation error resolved

Resolved in Pega Version 7.2.2

When generating the Pega SP metadata after importing the Shibboleth IDP metadata, the error "The metadata does not pass the SAML 2.0 schema validation" appeared. This has been resolved by modifying the pzDownloadSPMetadata activity to generate a unique secure random ID prefixed with an underscore.

When rule inside a loop correctly picked

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.2

While using a 'when' rule inside a loop of a page list, the rule was not being picked during runtime. This has been resolved by adding an update to allow an assembly time class name to be passed into runtime.

Assistance and diagnostics added for issue with opening imported 'when'

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.2

After update, attempting to open rules that were developed on lower environments and then imported resulted in unknown errors. A workaround has been added to skip and log any corrupted property that might be interfering with the rule opening: enable Skip-Corrupt-Property to put this in place. To improve diagnostics, the new logger NBA-WME-DEBUG has been added. If the error continues after using Skip-Corrupt-Property, Skip-Corrupt-Property should be disabled and NBA-WME-DEBUG should be enabled and kept active until the issue occurs again.

Resolved upgrade issues with ConnectSOAP using MTOM

Resolved in Pega Version 7.2.2

After upgrading, Connect SOAP request messages were failing on the back end server with the error "xop 3.2.2.a: xop:Include must be the sole child of element" . Analysis showed the base64binary was not being substituted correctly with the expected "XOP Include" element. Axis uses Axiom to write Multipart messages and multiple XOP writers are involved in writing and encoding the message. When the writer stream is flushed , it depends on SimpleNsStreamWriter to write the bytes. SimpleNsStreamWriter is currently packaged as part of WStx-2.3-asl.jar and webservices-rt.jar, but this was not true in previous versions. As a result after upgrade, Webservices-rt classes is taking precedence over wstx-asl classes, which was generating the XOP:include elements with inline content. For better backwards compatibility, the WS-TX jar references have been removed from the webservices-rt.jar so that now it will rely on wstx-asl-3.2.3.jar which is already shipped with the product.

Page-Copy given 'when' rule for assembler switch

Resolved in Pega Version 7.2.2

Performance issues relating to XML stream assembly were identified as an assembler switch problem in the Page-Copy Activity Method step. To improve response, a 'when' rule has been instituted to control switching between the old assembly Action aspect or the Model aspect in a scoped way, but can be overridden in the parse XML rule applies-to class.

Documentation updated for accents and special characters used in search

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.2

The "Pega search API" article has been updated to reflect that the search functionality in Pega Platform does not match accented words with unaccented. For example, searching for santé and sante will retrieve different results. In addition, Domain Specific Language (DSL) includes special characters for use when searching, for example '-', '_', '!', '@'. However, the system retrieves various results depending on the way the special characters are used in the search query. If the query contains special characters that are not escaped, the system may retrieve incorrect results. For example, not escaping the slash mark in the 25/02 query may cause the system to ignore the special character.

Admin Studio will consider cluster protocol when returning listener status

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.2

When using a few nodes in standalone mode for BIX extract combined with server nodes using Hazelcast, opening the admin studio pages with service discovery caused an error to be thrown. This was traced to the system writing an entry to pr_sys_statusnodes table as an embedded node whenever a BIX extract was triggered, causing those standalone nodes to be incorrectly considered by the listener landing page. This has been resolved by configuring the system to either return the local member when the cluster protocol is standalone or to return all Hazelcast members if the cluster protocol is Hazelcast.
