Added DSS to handle BIX extracts under parse delimiter rules

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.1

When parse delimiter rules were applied, the File Listener was not parsing the CSV manifest file generated from a BIX extract until the file was resaved. This was traced to a space after a comma in the extracted files, and has been resolved with the addition of a DSS which enables the use-specified delimiter to remove the space after the comma in the manifest files.

Java Bean import updated to handling differences in Java 7 and Java 8

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

The behavior of the java bean Introspector class is inconsistent across different versions of the JDK when detecting indexed properties built off of java.util.List objects, causing Java Bean import to generate differently in Java 7 and Java 8. This has been resolved by updating PRIndexedPropertyDescriptor to better handle this JDK difference by resolving indexed read and write methods manually using simple reflection.

Hardcoded DDL date replaced with dynamic string for Postgres compatibility

Resolved in Pega Version 7.2.1

The PostgreSQL DDL generator for install and upgrade in PRPC 7.1.9 created a PL/pgSQL containing the direct date value "01/01/1990". In some versions of Postgres 9.3, this caused a datestyle mismatch execution error when datestyle was set to "iso, ymd" on the postgresql.conf side. This has been resolved by replacing the hardcoded date value with a to_date function that uses an appropriate format string.

Validation handling added for complex criteria values

Resolved in Pega Version 7.2.1

Incorrect validations were appearing when trying to save a List View rule with a criteria value that uses a property embedded in the pxResults page of a declare page in the Value field of the Content tab and that listed the top level declare page in Pages & Classes. This was due to the unusual structure of this referred property not automatically having the necessary links to retrieve the necessary pages and classes, and handling has been added for this special scenario.

Attached note header displays properly in Hebrew locale

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.1

With the locale set to Hebrew, the whole portal is presented correctly from right to left, but when opening a case note (an attached email), the header was not displayed as right to left. This has been resolved by updating the 'DisplayNote' HTML of class 'Data-WorkAttach-Note' and 'Show' HTML of class 'Data-Corr-Email' to use locale information from the operator.

Resolved slowness in retrieving case attachment from AWS

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.1

Attempting to open a case attachment caused the application to slow over time and eventually became unresponsive. Restarting the Tomcat nodes improved the response time. This was traced to a null Buffered Input Stream not being closed correctly when using AWS, and has been resolved by adding the needed logic to PegaGadget-Pulse.pzStorageAttachSelectedFile. In addition, enhanced logging has been added to Embed-Repository-S3.pyGetFile. Additional enhancements for this issue will be included in a future release.

Updated handling for validating/saving circumstanced rule on branch

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

Using 'save as' for an already circumstanced rule with a new property/template caused the Rule-.DictionaryValidation activity to register the error "StandardValidate-CircumPropAlreadyDefined". The same activity Step did not throw an error when saving into Branch. This was traced to the ruleset name not being the same for the branch ruleset due to having _BRANCH_Branch-Name appended to its name, and has been resolved by adding a condition to check for circumstanced rule in a branch.

MY system pulse receiver will parse originating tenant name to facilitate data page removal

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.1

When using a node level data page on a cloud multi-tenant system to get the data from a data table, attempting to flush the data page by explicitly calling pzFlushDataPage was not flushing the page in all nodes of a tenant. This was traced to the system pulse used to communicate between MT nodes: the receiver node was not removing the data even after receiving the system pulse because the cache contained the page with a different key. The key formed contained the tenant name, and the receiver was not parsing the tenant name from the pulse message received. To resolve this, the system has been updated to parse the tenant name from the pulse message and set it on requestor. This allows the correct key to be formed, allowing the receiver node to remove the data page as expected.

Oracle handling updated for primary key in upgrade DDL

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

Previously, when a primary key of a table was created Oracle would automatically create a unique index with the same name as the primary key. However, with the introduction of Oracle 19, an optimization was added which will not do that if there is another unique index on the table which contains the column(s) of the primary key. This difference can cause updates to fail with the error "cannot drop index used for enforcement of unique/primary key". This has been resolved by updating the handling for primary key constraint and the corresponding index name.
