SortPageList method updated for Obj-Sort

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

Sorting page lists backed by a node level datapage using Obj-Sort was causing a ConcurrentModificationException. This has been resolved by updating the SorterImpl.sortPageList method to use java7CollectionsSort instead of collectionsSortWithInferenceEngineDisabled.

Search behavior change after update corrected

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.7

After update, changes were seen in the search behavior that included the toggle button at the top left corner of the landing page becoming disabled when re-indexing was in process, the Re-index buttons becoming disabled and a cancel button appearing in place of the re-index button for the specific index category being indexed, indexing done through batch indexers not presenting progress in the document size column every 10 seconds but instead presented the whole row for the index category as blank, and progress being indicated by the changing figures under the Queue Information section on the Search Landing Page. This was due to a conflict in which ruleset was highest after rulesets were imported during update, and has been resolved by updating pzLPSearchManagerReIndexSection to use the correct version of the ruleset.

Resolved ClassCastException for JMS listener

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.9

If a Service JMS rule (Point to Point) was invoked by a JMS listener, the listener would pick up a message created using Tibco queue, pass it to the Service JMS rule, the message would be parsed and the response xml created, but then the system was not able to create a session to respond to the JMS producer. This was traced to the Queue and Topic specific API used by JMSListener causing ClassCastExceptions. To resolve this, the system now uses a generic API devoid of Queue and TopicSessions to send the response message in JMSListener.

Data page processing performance improvement

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.7

After upgrade from Pega 7 to Pega 8, data page processing was noticeably slower. Based on analysis of the issue and results of testing, changes have been made to improve the performance of the query used by the expression parser by using an ClipboardPage API to read values from a Page (ClipboardPageAPI#getString(boolean, String)).

Reverted WSDL naming convention to previous style

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.9

In earlier versions of the system, the exposed Pega-generated WSDL had ComplexType named "CreateCaseWSRequestType" with uppercase "T". A recent change to naming the ComplexType "CreateCaseWSRequesttype" with lowercase "t" required a manual override to use previously generated WSDLs after upgrading, so the naming has been reverted to using the uppercase "T" format.

Checks for Apache Tomcat 6 with MSSQL removed

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

After implementing a specific local Tomcat configuration that removed the Tomcat version number from displaying on Tomcat standard error screens, the error "Tomcat 6 not supported or unable to detect version for custom Tomcat: Apache Tomcat. Contact Pega Customer Support!" appeared and Tomcat failed to start. Because Tomcat 6 was not supported for use with Microsoft SQL Server Systems, Pega used the ServletContext.getServerInfo() method to determine the Tomcat version; if the system used Tomcat 6 or an undetermined version in combination with MSSQL then the system would purposefully not start. As Tomcat 6 is no longer supported in Pega 8.5.2 and above, this check is unnecessary in those versions and the Tomcat version 6 checks in ClassMapImpl have been removed to allow serverAllowsMerge to return as true.

WSDL generation updated

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.9

A coding error for the constants used in generating WSDL was creating a problem for some installations with the resulting data. This has been corrected.

Rule Assembly update for pxTextInput and pxDisplayText

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

After the application restart, multiple rule assembly alerts were seen for pxTextInput and pxDisplayText . During first access, Assembly is done and container is cached in VTable; investigation showed that in this case, the Load class without the package name had a class not found issue, and then subsequent access tried to use the container from cache and assembly was not done. To prevent this, an update has been made to perform the class lookup using the package name and class name.
