SnapStart supports SAML2 Authentication

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.5

When using an HTTP Post to SnapStart into Pega using PRCustom style or PRAuth style SAML authentication, the login was looping back to the login request. Investigation showed that the Pega ACS was posting data properly back to the RelayState URL, however the login activity was not getting the SAMLResponse and simply sent a SAML Login Request again. This has been fixed by updating reqContextURI in case of SAML2 Authentication service so pyActivity=value will be passed.

Support added for iFrame Mashup resize when using SPA

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.5

After upgrade, issues were seen with an iFrame holding a Mashup not resizing as expected. This was traced to the use of an SPA portal inside mashup, and has been resolved by explicitly invoking the doharnessResize API to set proper height on iframe when using SPA.

Check added for lock expiration when using Save for Default locking

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.5

With the default case locking policy, during the process from creating a Case Object to Submit it was possible for multiple users to edit and save the same work object if the lock expired for the original user. No warnings appeared. To resolve this, handling has been added for a lock expiration scenario: previously, Save for Default locking was not considered. This has now been updated with a check that will evaluate whether or not the lock is gone before attempting to save.

Label of a field is correctly rendered when a section is re-used with a visiblity condition

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.5

The label of a field was not being rendered/visible when a section with a 'visible when' condition was re-used in different Page Contexts. The label was displayed correctly if 'Run visibility condition on client' was checked. As part of performance improvements made in a previous version, label generation was moved under the dlcellvisibility flag. Because of this, if a section was re-used at multiple places with different contexts and one place had visibility false and another had visibility true, the labels were not getting generated for the visible section. To resolve this, Label Generation has been moved out of dlcellVisibility to ensure label metadata will always be generated. Updated performance improvements have been made instead by way of a DSS setting (generateCellMetadata) so that when generateCellMetadata is true, the label generation will honor dlcellvisibility to generate the label metadata.

Dynamic Layout Group renders properly when nested sections use PageGroup as source

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.5

After upgrade, an included Section rule was not rendered in Dynamic Layout Group (repeat) layout at run time. This issue was only seen when PageGroup was used as the source for the dynamic layout group, and investigation showed that under these conditions the pagegroup state for nested sections was not propagating a needed editable property. This has been corrected.

Testcases are not available for 'access when' rules

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.7

Attempting to create test cases for access when rules resulted in guardrail warnings about the need to create a test case. Because Test Cases are not available for the Access When rule type as per Pega expected behavior, the guardrail warnings are not valid and have been removed.

Data sync updated for use with DeferWrite

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.7

After update, attempting a data sync from the client mobile application worked for the first object submission, but the second object failed and stayed in the list. This was traced to finish assignments running back to back when deferWrite was enabled and svcPerformFlow failed to find the assignment. To resolve this, the assignmentHandle will be passed to the activity when calling the pzSetDeferWrite activity from FinishAssignmentActionProcessor.

Refinements made to MarkerNode memory use

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.7

Significant memory usage can be observed when data join in strategies are missing the join conditions. E.g., when the primary source in the strategy can have up to 300 or even more propositions, the join without the join condition would perform a cartesian product with possibly up to 400 or even more records returned. This may cause performance degradation. To guard against this, an update has been made that seeks to prevent repetitive markers being accumulated under a MarkerNode while trying not to rely on any implementation of equality and hashCode for individual marker implementations.

Corrected method IF use with shortcut function

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.5

After upgrade, method IF was not working as expected when used in an expression like "@if(.totalorders_120days>0,(.remakeorders_120days/.totalorders_120days)<0.3,false)". This was caused by a missed use case for the combination of an exception-generating function in combination with a shortcut function (i.e. ternary, and, or), and has been resolved.

SetInterval will increase when AQD delay is defined

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.7

With a 5000ms delay in place, executing scenario test cases resulted in errors such as values sporadically not being entered in their respective fields when the test was run, test runs that failed even though the data was entered as expected, or the submission of a test case assignment (Next button) executing the next step before the new screen was loaded. Investigation showed this issue was occurring when the system encountered a slower machine and a delay in loading pages, and was traced to the executor not waiting long enough due to the implicit setInterval of 8 seconds. It was possible to add a local delay in AQD settings for slow pages, but the system-set setInterval interfered with this delay. To resolve this, changes have been made to the executor module where setInterval is invoked that will increase the setInterval time when AQD delay is defined, so that setInterval will not interfere with a locally-set AQD delay.
