DSS added to allow custom timeout for BIX query

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3

The BIX query to retrieve the blob column was taking up to 60 seconds for large volume, causing timeouts. Previously, the extract defaulted to using repost pzSample which is internal/final and has a default timeout of 30 seconds. In order to avoid timeouts, the new DSS "BIX/selectQueryTimeout" has been added to allow setting a custom value.

jQuery variable handling updated for mashup

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.1

After update, embedded mashup was not working. The browser console log showed the error "Uncaught TypeError: $ is not a function at pega.web.manager._initGadgets (PegaReg?pyActivity=pzIncludeMashupScripts:69)". The $ function belongs to the jQuery library, and investigation traced this to a difference in variable handling. This has been corrected by updating the referring jQuery to use the variable 'jQuery' instead of '$'.

Logic trimmed for better Listener performance

Resolved in Pega Version 8.1.8

After multiple email listeners with Data indexing were enabled, the FTSIndexer queue was filling with Email Listener instances. Investigation showed that although Listener Management has logic for updating the last access time of all listeners by using APIs, the Email Listener was explicitly opening the email listener rule to update the last access time every time it was run. This has been corrected.

Logic trimmed for better Listener performance

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.4

After multiple email listeners with Data indexing were enabled, the FTSIndexer queue was filling with Email Listener instances. Investigation showed that although Listener Management has logic for updating the last access time of all listeners by using APIs, the Email Listener was explicitly opening the email listener rule to update the last access time every time it was run. This has been corrected.

Validation on DateTime property working for mobile

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.1

A mandatory DateTime field with "Allow text entry" set to 'No' was not restricting validation when no value was provided. This was an unintended consequence of recent work done to validate input type date along with input type hidden, and has been reverted.

Improvements for Offer Eligibility rules loading time

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.1

After opening the Proposition filter/Action rule and clicking on Add Criteria, the pxAnyPicker drop down load was taking an excessive amount of time. Performance improvements have been made by adding a precondition at step 2 to avoid data page refresh for specific scenarios when it is not required.

Corrected revision management with decision data rules

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3

When a new version of a decision data rule was created in dev studio and new propositions were imported or existing ones modified, the typical behavior was for the system to also automatically create a new version of the "pyEditElement" section even if the form was not changed. If this is done from revision management, the revision automatically creates a branch in the overlay application. If the revision contains a decision data rule, the branch contains an instance of the decision data rule and also an instance of the pyeditelement section, but when the revision was submitted, the generated package only contained the decision data rule and skipped the pyeditelement rule. This was traced to the pyEditElement section of the decision data rule not getting packaged because the package flag was not set to the section, and has been resolved by fixing the withdraw and reject scenarios by modifying the package flag in pyRemoveDDRules activity.

Added handling for DSM Services stuck in leaving status after database outage

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.1

During a database outage, the heartbeat would fail and DSM services would eventually try to enter safe mode and stop. As the first step they would try to change the state to LEAVING, but because the database was down saving the LEAVING state failed and the exception was not handled correctly. This resulted in the rest of the stop operation logic not being executed and the service being stuck in LEAVING. To resolve this, an update h as been made to ensure the service goes to LEAVING_FAILED if anything fails during the stop operation including when setting state to LEAVING_FAILED. The state LEAVING_FAILED will get flushed to the database eventually when it comes back up. This will allow the aggregation service to start from the LEAVING_FAILED state and recover by itself after a database outage.

Added support for imported rules to populate bixreportpage

Resolved in Pega Version 8.1.8

Extract rules were not holding the filter criteria after upgrade while performing save-as (for the first time) of the imported rules from the previous version. Criteria were held when the filters were created in the new version. This was caused by BIX extracts created in earlier releases (7.x) not having bixreportpage included. When an environment was upgraded to 8.x versions, opening an extract required the bixreportpage to be populated with Report Definition metadata including the filters defined in the actual extract. Although the filters from the original extract were converted to filters that are acceptable by ReportDefinition, they were not being added to bixreportpage on opening the extract. To resolve this, the system has been updated to copy the filters back to bixreportpage on opening the extract in the upgraded environment.

Visibility on client check removed to enable Pulse on click

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.4

When Pulse was configured on click of a icon, the comment section was not visible. Investigation showed that at the time of DOM load, pyMessage property was not available in the DOM because 'Run visibility condition on client' was checked by default. Visibility on client checks have been removed to resolve this issue.
