DSS added to control DADT purge

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

Thread dumps and service restarts were seen when Decision Engine data nodes were working with a very large number of tables. This has been resolved by adding a DSS as part of the CDH layer which will skip CDH DADT that contains pattern DATA_BATCHOUT, for instance "DATA-ADMIN-DB-TABLE DATA-BATCHOUTPR469001" to prevent the deletion causing full cache invalidation of the table information map. With this DSS set to true, when the purge agent runs and deletes the DADT, class cache should no longer be invalidated. With the DSS missing or set to a value other than true, the class cache invalidation will still occur.

Added handling for DSM Services stuck in leaving status after database outage

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

During a database outage, the heartbeat would fail and DSM services would eventually try to enter safe mode and stop. As the first step they would try to change the state to LEAVING, but because the database was down saving the LEAVING state failed and the exception was not handled correctly. This resulted in the rest of the stop operation logic not being executed and the service being stuck in LEAVING. To resolve this, an update has been made to ensure the service goes to LEAVING_FAILED if anything fails during the stop operation including when setting state to LEAVING_FAILED. The state LEAVING_FAILED will get flushed to the database eventually when it comes back up. This will allow the aggregation service to start from the LEAVING_FAILED state and recover by itself after a database outage.

Visibility on client check removed to enable Pulse on click

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.4

When Pulse was configured on click of a icon, the comment section was not visible. Investigation showed that at the time of DOM load, pyMessage property was not available in the DOM because 'Run visibility condition on client' was checked by default. Visibility on client checks have been removed to resolve this issue.

Null check added for debug logging pointer error

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

When DEBUG logging was enabled on the class 'com.pega.pegarules.session.internal.mgmt.base.AbstractPageDirectory', system restart resulted in the node failing to startup with a null pointer error in a debug block of this class. A null check has been added to resolve this.

GetFunctionsForLibrary retrieves 10,000 rows

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Some functions were missing from the expression builder browser and search results when pyShowInternalLibrary was set to true for including internal functions in the results. To resolve this, the default value for "Maximum number of rows to retrieve" in pzGetFunctionsForLibrary has been increased to 10,000.

WorkSearchGadget updated in Theme-Cosmos-02-01

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

The search icon was not working in Cosmos after update, which was traced to the search icon not having an action set. This has been addressed in Theme-Cosmos-03-01, but in this scenario Theme-Cosmos-02-01 was set as the Application definition instead of Theme-Cosmos-03-01. To resolve this, Theme-Cosmos 02-01-01 has been updated to use the newest version of the @baseclass.WorkSearchGadget section.

Localized date format based on custom constants

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

After update, date values were shown with the format itself such as "dd/MM/yyyy h:mm a" instead of the actual date value. This was an unintended side effect of work done to localize the date handling for a specific locale, and has been resolved by updating the setting method to one which uses custom constants available to generate the custom datetime format per locale.

Fixed PEGA0069 alerts with Weblogic

Resolved in Pega Version 8.1.6

When Pega platform was deployed in a Weblogic application server, Alert PEGA0069 was not generated due to the cookie parser failing to parse what was found to be an incorrect Pega-Perf cookie value. The Pega-Perf cookie value has been corrected by removing quote characters surrounding it.

Null check added to ensure value "yyyyMMdd" displays correctly in DateTime Input

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.4

An issue where the input value "yyyyMMdd" was not displayed correctly in a DateTime input field was traced to moment.calendar returning invalid formatting when executed on a null property. To resolve this, a check has been added to assess whether the datetimeframe has any properties or not.

Cases Created through email bots remains searchable

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

When a case was created through Email Bot, the delete attachment link in pzCreateTriageWork activity was triggering a delete event in incremental indexing that removed the main work object. This has been resolved by adding a condition check in the SearchIncrementalIndexNotifier class for the link page, and the work object will be updated instead of deleted.
