SSLContext created using protocol from REST connector rule form

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

After upgrading to IBM websphere v9.0.5.6 or higher, API calls Like REST, Connect-HTTP etc were failing to connect to endpoints using TLSv1.2. Investigation showed that although the connector was configured to send TLSv1.2, the ClientHello handshake was triggered for TLSv1.3. Because the SSLContext was created with highest version supported by protocol in the WAS container, this has been resolved by modifying the code to create SSLContext based on the the protocol selected in the REST connector rule form. Additionally, please note that the Connect-HTTP connector has been deprecated and the Connect-REST capabilities in the platform should be used instead.

Handling added for using virtual network interface for Stream Services startup

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

After update, the restart of any node failed with the error "Unable to create DSM service DATA-DECISION-SERVICE-STREAMSERVER DEFAULT". This has been resolved by adding support for allowing stream service to start on the virtual network interface in cases where it was explicitly configured via the "cluster/hazelcast/interface".

ClassName retrieved from rule definition when root record comes from primary page

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4

A When rule with single condition .DateProp >= .DateTimeProp was returning true when DateProp was set to a certain date & DateTimeProp was set to a date after DateProp. This was expected to return false. Investigation showed this was a missed use-case for property expressions where the root record came from the Primary Page, and was traced to an issue with the values being converted to String and the class not being set properly when the IL Assembler was used to resolve the Primary.IntegerProp's type. This has been resolved by returning the pyClassName retrieved from the rule definition page.

Interface changes made to avoid unexpected workitem deletions when removing stale locks

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4

Attempting to delete lock instances of work objects by directly opening the lock item found through navigating to (Dev Studio) App > Classes > System-Locks actually resulted in deleting the work item instead of just the lock. This was due to System-Locks being uniquely identified by the WorkItem that they belong to rather than having their own specific key. This meant that clicking on one of the instances caused the system to respond by presenting a "default RuleFormLayout section" which included a delete button keyed to the actual workitem, but this was not made explicitly clear in the interface. In order to prevent unexpected item deletions, the table has been replaced with a link to the proper System-Lock interface, specifically the "My Locks" window.

BIX -J usage for DST can be used in Pega 7 mode

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

After upgrade, there was a difference in the handling for a time zone with DST when executing a BIX extraction rule through command line arguments like -J with short form. In Pega 8.5+, -J CST6CDT always displays Date time to CDT; In Pega 7, -J CST6CDT displays Data Time based on CST or CDT (i.e. before daylight savings or not). This was due to changes made to set the time zone to address a different issue. While there is a workaround of using -J America/Los_Angeles, modifications have been made to support DST in the PEGA 7 format while running the BIX extraction rule from command line or with a "pxExtractDataWithArgs" activity with "-J" option.

Update message clarified for manual case update after SmartEmail shape used

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4

For a case with #1 Optimistic Lock and #2 a SendEmail smart shape in the middle of a flow, once the SendEmail updated the case in the background, updating the case manually resulted in a "Please re-submit" message being displayed without any explanation. This has been resolved by ensuring that instead of a resubmit message (system update), the system will show a refresh message (normal update).

DSS added for reference Page Group fields extraction using Dictionary

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4

Reference properties were not being resolved when the useDictionary option was set to false, resulting in empty data being extracted from the blob for embedded pagegroup and pagelist properties. To resolve this, a new dynamic system setting in Pega-RULES ruleset, "BIX/enableDictionaryLookUpForDBExtract", has been added to enable dictionary resolution so that the embedded page group reference property values are resolved for extraction. The default value is "false".
