Menu button no longer steals focus on dismissal

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Action menus in the portal harness were stealing focus from input fields in the work harnesses. This was an unintended side effect of work done to correct an issue where focus was not correctly remaining in the table layout, and has been resolved by updating the control menu to avoid the explicit focus in the hideNode function when the menu is already dismissed.

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.4

Attempting to add a new item/row in a table configured in a modal dialog in the home page of the Cosmos portal was not working, and the error "Section 'TestSection' execution error on page 'pyWorkPage' of class 'CosmosApp-Work-TestCaseType'. : For input string: "" appeared. This was a missed use case for pyPortalHarness, and was caused by the primarypage not getting copied to the workprocessing thread which led to some actions failing as classless. This has been resolved.

Handling added for null result during BIX agent execution

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4

While executing one of the extract rules either manually from the Designer Studio or by using the back end BIX-Agent, an infinite loop caused agent rules to run indefinitely and create a server log size that impacted system performance. This was traced to reading a page from stream that was returned as null due to an exception, preventing the system from proceeding to the next result. To resolve this, the system has been updated to move to the next result if the current result throws an exception and returns as null.

CEP bucket size increased to 1 minute

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4

Frequent DSM Data Flow Errors were observed in production nodes with very high event rates. This was traced to the default bucket size for CEP being 1 second for a 31 day window, which was not sufficient to handle high volume use which may create an event strategy window large enough to hit the Cassandra column size limit. In order to resolve this, the default bucket size has been increased from 1 second to 1 minute.

DSS added to Request Only Connect SOAP for Robust

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4

After upgrade, creating a new SOAP integration set to "Request only" in the Service tab and then running the activity showed requests coming with no response, then failure after three tries. This was traced to previous changes made to support Robust behavior and log failed asynchronous calls, and has been resolved by modifying the Robust support and moving it to a DSS. If “EnableRequestOnlyFaultMapping” is set to “true”, then the ANON_ROBUST_OUT_ONLY_OP option will be used; otherwise, the default behavior will be ANON_OUT_ONLY_OP.

Handling corrected for CSV formatted output from CDH

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

After upgrade, the Output Templates with File output (.csv file extension, comma delimiter) for Customer Decision Hub did not work as expected. Creating an Output Template for use in an action flow with defined fields containing commas for output previously resulted in the individual fields containing commas being enclosed in double quotes, but the output after upgrade instead was enclosing each of the comma-delimited fields in quotes, causing an issue with the original format of the data. This has been corrected.

Corrected null values being set to 0 in GenerateExcel

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

The pxGenerateExcelFile activity was loading $0.00 in place of a null value for decimal columns. This has been resolved by updating the logic for GenerateExcel.java to skip double properties default value for non-existent clipboard props and extend the same fix to the integer class. Safety checks have been added before setting cell type to check if property exists, and handling has been added for a specific exception instead of generic exception for both decimal and integer use cases.

DSS added to configure outflow signature digest method algorithm

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

After update, a change was seen in the digest method of a SOAP response. The site was configured to use WS-Security Profile SHA-1 as the digest algorithm, but the warning from the testing tool WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) indicated this was not being followed with the message "the algorithm 'xmlenc#sha256' is not accepted for operation 'Digest'". For better compatibility, the DSS outflowSignatureDigestAlgorithm has been added to support configuring the outflow signature digest method algorithm.

Hazelcast upgraded to resolve node startup issue

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4

Post data upgrade, the ADM tier failed to start and the error "java.lang.IllegalStateException: Node failed to start!" appeared. This was traced to a dormant bug in Hazelcast 3.11 that caused starting nodes to fail when the Hazelcast master node was shutting down, which was exposed by recent Pega changes made to enable parallel restarts of nodes in Cloud environments. Hazelcast delivered a fix for the parallel restart problem and the hotfixed jar has been merged into the platform. In addition, previous logic for loading Admin Studio waited 30 seconds before timing out when fetching information for each node. This caused issues with large clusters and Admin Studio not loading. The logic has been updated in the Admin Studio UI to load the page despite delays/issues waiting for nodes to respond to the gathering of cluster data, and the algorithm to detect remote-call timeout has been updated and is applicable to batch operation.
