Handling added for missing expose.accessGroup property

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7.1

After exposing an existing page group and page list properties along with single value properties using a declare index, running the Column Populator tool prpcServiceUtils to populate the historical data resulted in the single value properties being updated in the exposed column properly, but the page group and page list properties were not updated in the declare index table. On new case creation the declare index tables were updated. This was traced to the default expose.accessGroup not being set for the user, and has been resolved by adding a check and handling that will add the missing property in prpcserviceutils.properties defining the access group for the Rule-Declare-Index of the classes being exposed if it is not present.

Added handling for nested clipboard pages

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7.1

On save of sections that have items (cells) nested more than one layer deep and have either "Show menu" or "Run data transform" actions, silent errors were found in the tracer indicating "Attempting to access a rule with a bad defined-on class: Trying to open rule ... of class "Rule-Navigation", but no defined-on class (pyClassName) was specified". This was due to the pzActionShowMenu Rule-Utility-Function and pzActionRunDataTransform Rule-Utility-Function assuming the clipboard page structure was only one layer deep, and has been resolved by using findRulePageFromCurrentPage from SectionUtils.java

Double quotes escaped in entity mapping

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

A usecase where the BOTS created the triage cases from the emails and pushed it to the Workgroup had an intermittent problem where the screen would freeze and no actions could be performed. perform any action on the same. Investigation showed this occurred when the entity text contained double quotes which is caused JSON to break on the client side. This generated an exception during rendering, and other onload scripts failed on load and blocked the entire thread. To resolve this, the system will now avoid the JSON break by escaping double quotes in entity mapping.

Initialized entryName for light weight inventory instance

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

When running deployment on a new pipeline created for the next minor version, once the deployment process got to the point of showing aged updates, the “view aged updates” came back as blank screen. Viewing the logs showed the aged update elements come back but were missing the pyName associated with them. Investigation showed that the system did not have support for setting the mEntryName for LightweightInventoryInstance objects. This has been resolved by adding a junit to ensure that getEntryName() doesn't return as null and should be equal to pzInsKey.

RemoveThreadLEvelPages modified to preserve primary page for current action

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.1

The Job Scheduler Executions drill down showing success/fail results was inconsistently showing results for the wrong jobs when sorting by column (job name). Unsorted, it opened the correct results. This was traced to the pyRemovethreadLevelPages activity removing all pages including datapages on doUIAction, causing any action performed on the UI after sorting the grid to open a wrong page. This was an issue for both the Job scheduler page and the Queue processor page. To resolve this, the pyRemovethreadLevelPages activity has been modified to not remove the data page if it is the primary page for the current action.

Simple button style updated to allow customization

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

The Simple button style was not picking up the correct border style that was defined in the Skin rule when in the hover state. This was traced to the border radius value hard-coded in one of the custom files taking precedence over the value added for the border radius in the skin format. To resolve this, the simple button styles code has been removed from the controls.css file that had the border radius value hardcoded. The styles for simple button format will be configured in the skin, and a mixin has been added for modal buttons border styles that can be configured in the skin itself.

Corrected layout group overlapping content

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

When an editable Table with Master Detail Edit has a section that contains a Layout group (Tab) inside the Master Detail Flow Action, if there are more layout group headings than that can be contained in the screen, a left and right arrow are displayed to toggle between headings in the layout group heading bar. However, timing issues sometimes caused the contents of the layout group to overlap on top of the content below the layout group and the screen was freezing with a loading icon. This was traced to console errors, and has been resolved by adding an 'undefined' check to prevent those errors.

Resolved Sporadic ControlBuild error in sections

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.1

After upgrade, a sporadic error was seen with sections of a VTable after a server restart where a portion would not load and the error "com.pegarules.generated.html_property.ra_stream_pxtextinput_1786000787_default incompatible with com.pega.pegarules.pub.runtime.ControlBuilder" was seen. This issue was traced to invalid generation of an assembly parameter map for random sections the first time the table was called after restart. To resolve this, the system will now allow assembly parameter generation for a second time when they are empty, and the assembly parameters preparation will be handled as a synchronous process.

Save works on Ajax container without Dynamic container

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7.1

After opening a work object and making changes to a required field, pressing the save button did not give any visual indication that the save was performed. Hitting cancel generated a dirty pop up saying changes will be discarded, indicating no save was done. When an Ajax container is configured without a Dynamic Container, all the content is rendered inside a fieldset tag instead of a form tag. While performing the save, the API was looking for the form element in the document and could not find any, and the save failed. This has been resolved by updating the submitWhenFail() API to handle both fieldset and form elements in the dom.

Asynchprocessor generation code deprecated from distribution

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.1

During a Pega Rules Upgrade of the environment, the error "duplicate key value violates unique constraint "pr_data_admin_pk" was observed. This exception originated from the "Upgrade Context" target while executing a query to fetch the missing ASYNCPROCESSOR requestors for all available system names, and was caused by the system attempting to insert a single ASYNCPROCESSOR requestor more that once in the shared layer. The need to generate missing requestors only applied for installations where a custom system name was provided to the deployment properties (setupDatabase), so by default the asyncprocessor generation code has been removed from the distribution as it is no longer required for upgrades. Default system behavior now is to use system-runtime-context in place of async requestors.
