INC-226764 · Issue 745051

Performance improvements for save-as

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Performance issues were seen when using save-as for rules such as Declare expression, When rules, activity, etc. This was traced to a very large number of extra database queries that were being executed while building the Declarative Cache. To resolve this, an update has been made so the queries used for the Declarative Cache will only be executed when required.

Latitude and longitude populated for CreateWork history

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

After enabling geo location in the casetype rule, when the case was created using the Create menu option from either Dev studio or Manager portal the Latitude and longitude values were set on the pxRequestor page and were available in the Case Audit history in the Map control. When the same case was created using CreateWork action configured on a button, it did not log the latitude and longitude values in the case Audit history. Investigation showed this was caused by a 'when' condition in the AddWorkHistory activity which checks the requestor page for latitude value and which had a null value when a createWork action was used to create the case. To correct this, the template metadata of the form will be populated with latitude and longitude values from pxRequestor page to be used in the latitude and longitude hidden fields.

Support added for UTF-8 charset in Connect-REST pyRequestAttachmentPage

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.5

When using Connect-REST with pyRequestAttachmentPage, Polish characters like "ó" or "ł" were converted to "?". This did not happen when pyRequestAttachmentPage was not used. This was due to the post request body using a multipart handler that ignored the charset being passed in and considered it a respective enum type for Application/json internally instead. This has been resolved by adding support for charset UTF-8.

Excel time values will default to server datetime if operator time zone is null

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.6

After upgrade, a scheduled report that contained a column using pxDateTime that was supposed to use EST instead used GMT when run and exported to Excel. This has been resolved with an update that will default to using the time zone of the server If the time zone of the operator is empty or null.

SR-D43918 · Issue 511182

Resolved duplicate task urgency

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.5

Duplicate task urgency was displayed when using dynamic layout in non-template mode. Investigation showed that there were three 'when' rules used to display the task urgency based on an urgency value, and two of the 'when' rules were being returned as true, one of which was incorrect. This was due to an incorrect PropertyReferenceImpl object being passed when retrieving the value from the failSafe page because of an incomplete reference, and has been fixed.

Values treated as strings for offline data transform concatenate

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

When using a Data Transform to construct a URL using multiple properties that contain values with a leading or trailing "0", the "0" was trimmed when the corresponding mobile JS code was generated using pega.process.expression.getValue("pyWorkPage.PlanData.SegmentID", "pyWorkPage.PlanData") . This was traced to the offline property type assuming that any numbers-only string should be treated as a number, so the data transform concatenate was converting “0001” to 1. To resolve this, the value will be treated as a string when being evaluated in an offline data transform.

Handling added for third party form library

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

When using a third party library which created a form tag, the wrong form was used on submit in the Ajax container. This has been resolved by updating the pzpega_ui_doc_submit file submitInner method to handle this use case.

Blobless class handling updated in BIX extract

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.6

When performing a BIX extract to database, null values were seen for some columns when there were values present in the clipboard and the report definition. Analysis showed that an Extract Rule defined on a Blobless class with a property having a length greater than 30 would return a null value even when the source table's corresponding columns do not have null values. This was due to BIX using an internal Report Definition which would truncate the column alias if the length of the column was greater than 30: when the extract then tried to find the actual property name in the result page, it did not find it and returned a null value. To resolve this, if the class is Blobless, the system will iterate over the property and check whether it is truncated or not. If it it truncated, the truncated name will be used when looking for the property in the result page instead of using the unmatching actual property name. This will ensure the correct value populated in the result page will be used.

Context retained during nested automation

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.6

Issues were seen with context being passed correctly with automation. When a Data Page that was used to abstract the call to a REST API used a Data Transform which in turn used a Data Page which also used a call to a REST API to retrieve an OAuth Token, an error appeared. The same worked when a URL was provided on the Connect REST. When a service case was launched but a Flow Action wasn't submitted, then another service case was added and submitted, the post-processing robotic automation activity used the run robotic automation activity from the previous service case instead of the current service case targeted for completion. This has been resolved by updating the webwb • pzpega_ui_doc_submit.js file to pass the correct MDIContext based on the event target of FA submission while invoking RDA automation.
