SOAP TLS version will be dynamically set

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Using the "Create SOAP connection" wizard resulted in an error no matter what WSDL was imported. The original implementation of the SOAP wizard relied on a hard-coded TLS level when invoking the HTTP call to the WSDL URL. The hardcoded value was never updated past TLSv1, and had to be manually updated by developers for new TLS versions. This was insufficient when the WSDL URL provided did not support lower TLS versions. To resolve this, the logic has been updated to source the TLS version from the system setting "Pega-IntegrationArchitect pyLowestAllowableTLSVersion", which will match the generated rules and stay up to date as Pega security standards update. The value will default to v1.2 if the system is unable to get a value from setting. To make the best use of this, do not use hardcoded values for version specification in dynamic flows where possible.

Error message handling added for nested page lists

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

When a multiselect referring pagelist(x).pagelist2() had an error message, the error was repeated for all pagelist(y).pagelist2() in the UI. This has been resolved by adding error handling for nested page lists by using registerErrorMessages for multiselect errors.

Mobile barcode scan sets value with correct context

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

After implementing a list of items where each has a unique barcode, scanning the barcodes using the mobile app worked correctly the first time but subsequent scans were setting the value on the first element of the list and missing the context of the current scan position. This has been resolved with an update to ensure the scan barcode action sets the value on the correct property when using repeating dynamic layers.

SMTPPort parameter will be passed to ForgotPasswordUtil

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

When a user triggered the "Trouble Signing in" function, the SentEmailNotification activity connection was trying to use port 25 even if the SMTP Port was configured as 587 in the Email Account instance. This was due to the SMTP Port not being passed to the SentEmailNotification activity, causing a fallback to port 25 for non-SSL connections. In order to ensure SendEmailNotification uses a specified port if configured, pySMTPPort will be passed to ForgotPasswordUtil.java.

Performance improvements for opening cases with embedded images

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

Opening cases containing email interactions was taking an excessive amount of time. This was traced to the use of embedded images, icons, etc, in the message body and signature, and was caused by the pyGetAttachmentsbyCID activity running multiple times due to discussion threads that were duplicated over and over. In some cases, more than 360 calls to the database were seen. This has been resolved by shifting some case opening processes to executing when the listener thread gets the mail, and storing the results in a .pynote property, and a URL will be used to get images instead of embedding them directly to the HTML. If preferred, this can be reverted to the previous behavior by changing the when rule (pyUseCachedHtmlForDisplay) to false.

Logic made consistent for design time group condition

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

An inconsistency was seen between the logic string that appears when switching from "Group ORs" mode to "Use advanced logic" mode at design time, though whichever mode was used at Action check-in was always properly reflected on the generated proposition filter so there was no runtime impact. This design time issue was traced to the property "pyGroupConditionsByOld " being empty: this property is transient so its value will not be saved into database. This property should be updated whenever user changes the Logic operator from the drop-down, and this has been resolved by adding an intermediate property to hold the old group condition value when it changes.

AccessGroup timeout restores session on relogin

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

When using Platform Authentication AuthService with "Use AccessGroup Timeout", a timed-out user who logged back in saw all open rule tabs were lost and any changes to checked out rule were not saved. Investigation showed that the URL for the redirected login screen did not have a slash at the end of the path of the app alias, causing it to not maintain a cookie path and instead start a new session on login. This has been resolved by adding the missing slash after the app alias in both the Ajax response and SecurityUtils to avoid creating a new session with a new requestor when logging in again after timeout.

Accessibility added to Recents

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.4

Under all recent items, the work object was not opened when using the keyboard and the focus was on the work object. Clicking with the mouse worked. Investigation showed that on pressing the enter key, actions were not triggered because the action string was not on the same SPAN tag (but in child node). This has been resolved with an update to add tabindex on the same span where action-string is added. In addition, accessibility was not enabled on the out-of-the-box Recents table because the work object elements in the table used a formatted text control; this has been updated to use a link control which will enable the accessibility feature while using keyboard navigation.

Refresh with DT or pre-activity added to dirty pop up check

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

Given a button which when clicked launched a data transform to set a few properties on the UI followed by a section refresh, a dirty warning popup did not appear when closing the work object even though the property changed via the refresh section. This has been resolved with an additional condition in the dirty pop up check to handle a refresh section using a DT or pre-activity.
