Validation warning flag appearance made more consistent

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

The warning "Please correct flagged fields before submitting the form!" was appearing inconsistently across the flow actions. Investigation showed that from the Todo Widget > Click on Link > Click on Go button. the assignment opened in an Ajax container so validations were triggered because it called the webwb • pzpega_ui_doc_submit • js file doFormSubmit() method which leads to the alert message. However, using Todo Widget > Go button caused the assignment to open in a Dynamic Container so no validations were triggered. This has been resolved by adding a new flag to skip field validation in certain cases to produce consistent behavior.

Enhancement added for attachment size handling with Kafka

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.5

Attempting to send an email attachment larger than 2 MB resulted in the error "Caused by: org.apache.kafka.common.errors.RecordTooLargeException: The message is 8101592 bytes when serialized which is larger than the maximum request size you have configured with the max.request.size configuration." This has been resolved by updating the Stream SPI size to 2.0.5-14 to support custom producer configurations. The settings can be passed as environment parameters, for example 'Dstream.producer.max.request.size=500990'.

Resolved erroneous problem assignment error

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

If a user processed a work item while the SLA agent was also attempting to process it, it sometimes resulted in an assignment with the error: "Error: Flow Not At Task." In this scenario, an error message was displayed stating that "Assignment already completed" even though the assignment was not yet finished, causing confusion. Investigation showed that in cases where the success indicator was -28, the assignment was marked as problem assignment even though it was processed. To resolve this, the system has been updated to skip marking the assignment as a problem when the success indicator is -28.

Approved flow rule image unlocked

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

When the Approval Required check box was enabled for rulesets (i.e another person with access to this work queue should approve changes to the rules), a rule which was approved was unlocked and moved back to the original ruleset as expected, but the binary image associated with the flow rule remained locked and any other user other than the one who previously checked in the rule was denied access with a "check out failed" error. This locking error has been resolved by modifying the Rule-Obj-Flow!CleanUp activity to set Param.IgnoreInstanceLockedBy = true.

DMaps cleared to set correct JobScheduler next run time

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

When items were added into a QP, the items shown under Scheduled and weren't being processed immediately. Investigation found that the job scheduler which fetched the entries for QP to process wasn't running as expected, and the "Next run" time stamp for JS was incorrectly populated and entries weren't being fetched at all. To correct this, updates have been made to clear entries in DMap belonging to the node during shutdown and from the membership listener so the correct next run time is set.

Radio button error resolved for scenario testing

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

When creating a scenario test case that selected a radio button and navigated the screen, it worked to complete a case and save the scenario test case in a rule set. However, attempting to then run the scenario test case stopped with the error message "Value cannot be blank" for the radio button even though the value "No" was captured for the button. This was traced to the firing of the change event, and the system has been updated so 'pega.u.d.setProperty' will only fire a click event on a selected radio button option.

Improvement for mobile display error related to harness timing

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

After updating from 8.1 to 8.6, working very quickly on mobile to create a case and refresh it resulted in a "Display error" screen that included the message "Failed to find instance @baseclase.pyCreate of type Rule-HTML-Harness". This was caused by the system not being initialized with the needed content and some target parameters therefore being evaluated as null. A preliminary fix for closeDocCallback when WebView is not loaded has been added which has significantly reduced the frequency of this issue. Additional work will be done towards a complete resolution in a future release.

Elasticsearch will split queries to avoid URL length limits

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Elastic Search Functionality was not working and showed the status as Offline. Investigation showed that when an external Elasticsearch setup had an index prefix length = 200 and a large number of dedicated indexes, the error "too_long_frame_exception, reason: An HTTP line is larger than 4096 bytes" was generated. In this case, the system was working with approximately 87 dedicated indexes and the name for each of them was sent over the URL, resulting in this error message. This has been resolved by updating the system to split queries so as to not exceed the HTTP line limit in Elasticsearch.

Auto Complete working in Mobile Browser configuration

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Autocomplete was not working in the mobile browser when logged in as a user and configured with display mode:"in-a-table" and "display as full screen in mobile" disabled. Autocomplete results will always display in List mode in the mobile browser, but with the configuration "in a table" selected and "Display results full screen on phone" unchecked, pzGetACData (which gets called for List mode) was not registered and returned a 403 response. To handle this, the conditions file ActionAssembly.java has been removed so pzGetACData will always be registered.
