Resolved tab appearance issues related to resolution support

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

When trying to add multiple tabs on larger screens, once the first row was filled with tabs then new tabs began appearing at the bottom of the layout group. The layout group worked as expected with the tab overflow having the right and left arrows with the dropdown on smaller screens. In addition, @1440px the overflow arrow on the right side was not working correctly, showing as grayed out even though focus was not on the last tab. These issues were traced to taboverflow with add icon not working correctly at certain resolutions. To resolve this, the todisableslide function has been updated to consider add icon width and layoutgroup has been updated to consider parent width.

Corrected dashboard focus highlighting

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Dashboard links like "My activities"/"My cases"/"Recent"/"Search” were displayed with a yellow focus highlight even though the user was not currently in those screens. Investigation showed the data-menu-id for control_menu was being appended with the workid until selecting another tab caused it to reset to its original value without workid. This change in menu-id was responsible for the issue with focus, and occurred only when render as single checkbox was unchecked. This has been resolved by removing workid from menuid and adding a unique id for the outside menu and inside case same menu.

Handling added for NOT NULL primary key requirement

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

The CRMFS application upgrade failed during an upgrade of a Production-clone environment to Pega 8.3.1 with the error "Encountered an issue applying DDL: ALTER TABLE pegadata.pr_History_PegaSAFS_Data_ReasonCode ALTER COLUMN pzinskey DROP NOT NULL: Database-General Problem executing SQL to update database schema ERROR: column "pzinskey" is in a primary key." This occurred because the database had a table column as primary key with a NOT NULL modifier while the archive that needed to be imported had a table column with neither the primary key nor NOT NULL modifier in it. Therefore during import the system was trying to drop the NOT NULL modifier first, resulting in the error as NOT NULL cannot be removed if it is a primary key. To resolve this, handling has been added for the use case of not dropping the NOT NULL requirement for the primary key.

Check added to ensure Job scheduler executed only once

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

When Node A and Node B woke up at the same time to start executing the job scheduler, both were attempting to update the "now processing" node ID with their ID but only Node A succeeded. This caused Node B to generate a "lock already held" exception, then Node B would try to release the lock and update "now processing" node ID. If Node A released the lock before Node B tried to, then Node B updated the "now processing" nodeID and executed the scheduler, causing it to be run twice. This double-run has been resolved by adding a check for whether the job scheduler has been executed recently before starting it.

Case Wide Actions do not trigger assignment arrow mark to progress

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Given a case type with two assignments in first stage, if the first assignment is completed and then a case-wide action is performed before beginning the second assignment, the the chevron arrow mark was shown pointing to the second assignment even though the user was performing a case-wide action. This was traced to the activity pzLoadStageStatusDP step 10 java step where pxFlow page is taken from the pyWorkPage and the pyLastFlowStep property holds the next step that will be performed. As pxFlow holds the flow parameters of current flow being performed, pxIsCurrent ends up set on the wrong step. To resolve this, a "when" condition has been added in the pyStageStepList section for the arrow mark to be visible only if it is not case-wide local action.

Configuration added for extending queue processor timeout

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.5

Alerts for queue processor (QP) items which took more than 15 minutes to run could result in the system marking the node as 'unhealthy'. In environments with Pega Health Check enabled, this would shut down the node gracefully. It was not possible to change this default as it was hardcoded. In order to support systems that may have custom processes that run beyond 15 minutes, a a new setting has been exposed that allows configuration of the interval after which a node with long-running queue processor is marked as unhealthy and is restarted. By default this remains 900000 milliseconds / 900 seconds / 15 minutes, but it may be adjusted up to 24 hours to avoid premature node shutdown. The stale thread detection mechanism will take that setting into account and use the provided value or default to 15 minutes if the value was not provided. In addition, the threshold's units in the UI have been changed from ms to seconds.

Improved disconnected requestor cleanup for FieldService

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.5

A large number of requestors from FieldService with the status as 'Disconnected' were accumulating and causing performance issues. This was traced to the requestors not getting passivated due to users not logging out and new requestors being created for the same users next time, and was caused by the value of the DSS Initialization/PersistRequestor being set as "OnTimeout". When the DSS prconfig/timeout/browser/default is not configured, the default browser requestor timeout is 60 minutes. In this scenario, requestors were not passivating as the requestor passivation timeout was set to the refresh token lifetime for mobile users, which was very large and overwrote the DSS value. This has been resolved by removing the code which set the passivation timeout to the OAuth2 refresh token lifetime.

Added mail/telephone link to allowed CSP child frame

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.5

After upgrade from v8.3 to v8.5, clicking on the mail / telephone link in the out of the box case participants gadget generated the Content Security Policy error "This content is blocked. Contact the site owner to fix the issue." Examination of the browser dev-tools console indicated the object refused to frame because it violated the Content Security Policy directive: "frame-src *". This behavior was specific to the Google Chrome browser, and has been resolved by adding code so the mailto: and tel: will be added to the frame-src when Data is selected under Child Frame-Source option. Unchecking the Data checkbox for Child Frame-Source on the policy landing page will remove these from allowed actions under CSP.

DASS and DAS associated to the Pega-ProcessCommander Ruleset

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

An upgrade was failing at the point of Pega Rules Upgrade in the Installer Instance with the error "Encountered database exception when preprocessing deferred operations <insert updatesCache instance DATA-ADMIN-SYSTEM PEGA not only if new>. This node not found in the database - Either the record was never saved or was deleted. Unable to join the cluster." This error occurred because the strategic application import during upgrade manually included a "systemname" DASS instance which had a value other than "prpc". This caused a override of the platform shipped DASS (with value "prpc), which is required by the upgrade. In order to avoid this condition, DASS and DAS have been associated to the Pega-ProcessCommander Ruleset.
