Legacy and new ID generation logging enhanced

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

A DuplicateKeyException was generated when attempting to create a case. The root issue was related to the local modification of the reserved ID field in the database through a custom activity and was able to to be fixed with a local change. In order to improve diagnosing events such as this in the future, enhanced logging has been added to to the legacy and new ID generation.

Empty addresses removed from email

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

After upgrade, an issue was seen when sending email to multiple 'To' addresses generated an exception if any 'To' address had an empty value. To resolve this, a check has been added that will remove any empty address from the recipientTo address list.

PD4ML library updated

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

When generating a PDF from a report definition with more than 1000 records, the system would hang abruptly and stop responding. There was also a noticeable size difference in the generated file. This was an issue with the included version of PD4ML, and has been resolved by updating the version from 4.0.6 to 4.0.9fx1.

Context retained for nested grids

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.8

The base reference was computed incorrectly when RDL is dropped inside a repeating structure, causing local action to be executed in the wrong context. To resolve this, the system has been updated to return null if a RDL row is encountered in getRepeatObject, so that base_ref is calculated from the node where action is invoked.

Currency field 'save draft' function updated

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.8

Save Draft button when pressed caused a screen error for currency fields, identifying that they were not the proper "decimal value", though the actual flow worked as expected. This was caused by the Save Draft function passing the value in string format instead of decimal, and the API has bene updated to update the value to a number.

DX API returns application specific validation messages

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

When trying to validate the input swagger details with application specific conditions, the create case DX API did not return the validation messages from application but instead returned a "500 Internal Server Error". Investigation showed that the error parameter was not set on validation fail, and this has been corrected.

Enhanced logging for access group decisions

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.8

In order to facilitate troubleshooting, logging has been added to track how the Core Engine decides what Access Group to assign to the running Agent. This lists the name/ruleset/ruleset version of the Data-Agent-Queue record being utilized, the Access Group specified by it, and any further steps that determine what AG gets used. If the DAQ gets rebuilt, it will show how it gets rebuilt from the Rule-Agent-Queue record.

Case Designer modified to counter Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 UI override

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.8

While working in the Stages & Processes tab using the Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 browser, it was not possible to view or modify the step and details and some buttons were not working. This was due to the display of auto complete being overridden with the browser's UI styles z-index. To create the proper behavior, the Case-Designer-styles CSS has been modified to add a Pega-specific z-index for process entry in Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.

Corrected HTML display of characters in reply emails

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.8

HTML characters were appear in the email body and subject for outbound reply messages. For example, if subject is test, the reply email would display the subject as RE: test<%gt; An HTML reply to an HTML email did not contain these entities/artifacts. Reply emails can now be configured to use HTML format, and the 'HTML' option has been added to the Message Type drop-down on the Response tab of Service Email rule.

Corrected Excel table picture being included with the rich-text editor paste

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

Corrected Excel table picture being included with the rich-text editor pasteAs an unintended consequence of code added to allow pasting or dragging and dropping an image for upload using the rich-text editor and the CK Editor, any copied content from Excel also added a table picture to the last cell as part of the pasted data. This has been resolved by updating the system to recognize content copied from Excel and prevent uploading of the image.
