SR-122500 · Issue 183869

Smoothed use of Row Repeat with a Repeating Grid that shares references

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.8

Issues were found with the display of Row Repeat. It was not displayed when a section contained a repeating grid and row repeat layout that had the same pagegroup property reference, and in other cases was displayed improperly after taking the wrong class for a 'when' condition. The failure to display was due to the active page being the last page of the page group as set by Repeat Grid. The RepeatGrid layout generation was changed beginning in v6.3 onwards, and now uses a method-based engine. However, the RowRepeat layout has been deprecated and therefore still uses the previous generation method. This difference creates a conflict when the RowRepeat kicks off in the same stream generation. Furthermore, this issue arises only when the two layouts bound to same PageGroup property source, and not with a Pagelist property. To resolve this, the system now resets the activePage to that of the primary page in case of page group data source in the Repeat Grid generation so that the Row Repeat gets the proper active page for its generation. The issue with displaying when it should not has been resolved by retaining the existing business logic wherever the section rule with body visible when condition is used in a repeating layout.

Help information updated for using Elastic Search with Report Definition

Resolved in Pega Version 8.7

The support article "Configuring a report definition to run against an Elasticsearch index" has been updated to clarify that the search can pass multiple values with a space in pySearchString as it does OR operation on all the fields, and that filters in the report definition will be used when executing the report directly or when calling the report in the pxRetrieveSearchData activity. https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/system-administration/85/configuring-report-definition-run-against-elasticsearch-index

Application Wizard updated to use long-form function name

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.8

When using the Application Wizard in some environments, clicking 'Preview' or 'Create' on the Data Objects screen caused a refresh and no summary of the created rules was generated. This issue was traced to an error in the library/function rule resolution where the short-form reference to a function was finding more than one suitable rule resolution candidate if there was more than one version of a ruleset function with the same formal parameters and the function was called using the short form of the function name. In this particular scenario the PageListContains function was causing a problem as this function exists in both the PegaSurvey framework and the Pega-AppDefinition ruleset. There was a workaround of doing a private checkout of the CopyFrameworkClassGroup activity and changing the short function rule reference to the long function rule reference (specifying ruleset and library, but the Wizard has been updated to use long-form function name to prevent this issue.

Fix inserted for CaseWorker portals using Microsoft Internet Explorer 8

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.8

CaseWorker portal links to open and interact with cases were not working in the Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 browser. Modified Dropdown to return JSON content type for use with ISAM

Resolved in Pega Version 7.1.8

ISAM, a third-party tracking layer, embeds JavaScript code in text/html responses. The Dropdown control was returning JSON but in HTML content type, so sites that use ISAM found that the ISAM JS code was embedded and the Pega JS that parses the JSON response failed to execute. Changes have been made to the wrapper to ensure the desired behavior of Pega returning application/json content type for JSON responses instead of text/html.
