Check added to format simplified Chinese date generation to match system expectations

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3

"When the browser language was set to Chinese (simplified) and a template was used for an application, an invalid date exception was generated. This was caused by a difference in handling between the moment.js function used to format the datetime, and Pega. The moment javascript formats dates with the below 6 meridiem for Chinese locales (zh-cn, zh-hk, zh-tw):凌晨 - Early morning 早上 - morning 上午 - morning (AM) 中午 - noon 下午 - in the afternoon (PM) 晚上 - at night But the Pega server only accepts two standard meridiem i.e. 上午 - morning (AM) and 下午 - in the afternoon (PM). Due to this, using an unsupported setting resulted in an error. To resolve this, a check has been added for the Chinese locales (zh-cn, zh-hk, zh-tw) that will adjust the non-supported formats to be either 上午 - morning (AM) or 下午 - in the afternoon (PM). Additional support has also been added to handle this function for iPad.

Compliation error resolved for editing complex offers

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.4

The following error was logged while trying to edit offers: "com.pega.pegarules.pub.generator.FirstUseAssemblerException: Failed to compile generated Java, com.pegarules.generated.html_section.ra_stream_pyeditelement." Research showed the code for the static initializer was exceeding the 65535 byte limit, causing the java compilation of the pyEditElement section to fail for a decision data rule. This was due to the pyEditElement section for a decision data rule being circumstanced: the assembler architecture of circumstanced section rules generated and added code for all the versions of a circumstanced section. Hence, if the section referenced a lot of properties and it existed in multiple ruleset(s)/ruleset versions, the java compilation for the section rule failed. To correct this, the integration of the pyEditElement section with decision data rules has been revised and enhanced, and a function and utility have been provided to call the function to clean up the old and redundant pyEditElement sections for a given decision data rule.

Resolved importing PublicFormat file using RuleFromFile Wizard

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.4

When attempting to create a flow from a Public Format XML file using the Rule From File Wizard, the following error was seen: "Problem invoking function: pega_procom_harvest.performXSLT--(String,String,boolean,HashStringMap)". This was caused by a mapping failure related to the pyComments property in baseclass pega social functionality, and has been resolved with the addition of a new page group property pyComments of type "Data-MO-Annotation-Comment" which applies to "Embed-Rule-Obj-Flow-ProcessModel". In addition, a system property set has been added:'System.setProperty("javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory","com.sun.org.apache.xalan.internal.xsltc.trax.TransformerFactoryImpl");' to make the security flags work properly in java step of 'transformPublicFlow' activity

IsMobile 'when' configurations are properly displayed in mashup preview

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.2

Given two layouts configured based on the 'when' rule pyIsMobile, the mashup preview did not work in the mobile form factor. This was only an issue with App Studio preview of a mashup and did not have an impact on the enduser use of the mashup, and the same mashup code viewed on mobile/desktop worked as expected. Investigation showed that the 'when' rule was evaluated correctly for the application level, but in mashup it was evaluated to false even when opened in mobile view from App studio. The Rule-Utility-Function checks to see if an overridden useragent has been specified and if it has, then it uses it for the preview in App Studio, however in mashup the userAgentDetails did not contain any of the satisfying conditions under which the condition might be returned as false. The issue in this case was traced to the Rule-Utility-Function needing to handle the scenario of Mashup Preview by checking if the thread was from the mashup preview, and that has been implemented.

DX API returns properly referenced icon class for embedded page

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

When using the DX API to build an Angular JS UI, the response returned from the GET /cases/{ID}/actions/{actionID} api did not return the iconStyle for an icon class that uses a property reference when the flow is on an embedded page. This has been resolved by adding code to set the correct context for pzAPICreateJsonForModes and pzAPICreateJsonForField Rule-Utility-Function.

Adding handling for property without parent page

Resolved in Pega Version 8.5.2

Filtering was not working for a DateTime control in an optimized grid with embedded property which was a function alias defined in a report definition referenced by a Data Page. This was traced to the system assuming that every property has a parent page, which this use case did not. To resolve this, an update has been made that will return null for the parentGroupOrListProp if one does not exist.
