PRPC 5.3 User Interface Enhancements

Updated on October 7, 2014

Transcript

Multi-Aspect Harnesses

PRPC version 5.3 introduces two new and powerful harness types for screen flows:

  • TabbedScreenFlow
  • TreeNavigation

The TabbedScreenFlow presents the step as horizontal tabs. If the first screen flow calls an embedded screen flow, the second level of tabs appears below the entry point.

TreeNavigation presents the steps in a tree structure.

These harness types allow you to:

  • Move forward and backwards in screen flows, as well as skip steps
  • Provide the option to allow navigation across screens, even when errors exist on the forms
  • Provide flexible, yet intent driven data entry
  • Include embedded sub-flows; however, split-for-each is only supported in PRPC 5.4

To enable tabbed or tree navigation, simply set the harness type on the start shape of your screen flow.

Breadcrumbs

In addition to the new harnesses, ‘Regular’ flows can include simple breadcrumbs by including the ProcessSteps or ProcessStepsVertical sections in their harnesses Notice the string of flow actions in the middle of the display.

Cell Width and Height within Sections

When working in a layout defined to use the ‘px fixed’ Body Configuration type, you can now specify the height and width in pixels directly in the Options section. This UI enhancement should enable more consistent layouts, especially across sections.

Read Only When

From PRPC 5.3, you have the capability to set a condition for when a property is Read Only.
