Re-creating intent task rules

Updated on September 25, 2019
This article applies to users upgrading to Pega Customer Service from Customer Process Manager (CPM) 6.2 and prior versions.

If you are upgrading to Pega Customer Service from CPM 6.2 or older versions, you must re-create all of the Intent Task rules in your application. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Task rule.
  2. Perform a Save As into a higher ruleset version.

The process of the Save As updates the rule XML into the current format and makes it available for use with Pega 7.1.x and newer versions.

If you are using the Interaction Portal with Pega Customer Service, intent task rules also need to be updated to identify the class and starting flow name for each task rule.
