Run-time editing of sections in Pega Express
You can configure sections that were created by using a template to allow editing at run time. Run-time editing allows a Pega Express user to edit a section. Pega Platform developers can allow edit access to Pega Express users and business users who do not require the full section editing capabilities of Designer Studio.
Allowing run-time editing
When you create a section from a template, open the Settings tab of the section. Select the Allow Section to be edited at runtime check box and save the section. Sections created in Pega Express have this option enabled by default.

Editing a section at run time
With the application open in Pega Express, on-screen objects can be selected and those that can be edited are indicated by a Pen icon next to the object name. To open the right-side editing pane, click the Pen icon.

Click to update the section that is displayed in the work area. Click Save to save your changes and close the right-side editing pane to end the editing session.
