Monitoring security alerts and events
Pega Platform generates security alerts and events for situations such as attempts to hijack a user session. You can review the security alerts and events by viewing their respective logs.
In Pega Platform, there are two different types of logs, one for alerts and one for events, and the distinction between these logs is important.
Alerts identify urgent items that are happening within your application. A Security Administrator must deal with these items as soon as possible. A Security Administrator is responsible for periodically examining and addressing any alerts.
Events general items that are happening within your application. For example, a user changing their password can be a good thing, especially if you have a policy in which they must change their passwords every six months.
