Updated on June 30, 2021

In Pega Platform, you can set the default access group and access information on lag time and failed login counts on the Security tab of the Application ID form.

To access the Application ID form in Dev Studio, in the navigation pane click RecordsSecurityApplication ID. Select the application that you want to edit from theApplication ID table. When the form launches, it opens on the Security tab by default.

The Security tab of the Application ID form has two sections: Access and System.

Access

The Access section of the System tab contains information on the access group and password:

FieldDescription
GroupEnter or select an access group. This access group is used only until the operator is identified.
PasswordEnter the password for users who that this application ID represents. At run time, the system matches this password against the password used to create the security token that was submitted in a single sign-on implementation.

System

The System section of the Security tab contains information on lag time and the failed login count:

FieldDescription
Lag time Each single sign-on URL contains a date and time specified as a SenderTime value.

Enter a value to specify the number of seconds allowed between the SenderTimein the URL and the server time when the security token is evaluated.

If the SenderTime is older than the LagTime value subtracted from the current server time, the system rejects the attempted login as stale.

Failed logon countLeave this field blank. This option is not implemented. Each login failure is recorded in a Log- class.
