Authentication profiles

Updated on March 15, 2022

Create an authentication profile to securely authenticate your application to an external system via an integration connector, such as Connect REST.

You can specify authentication profile data instances on the Service tab of the following rules:

  • Connect CMIS
  • Connect dotNet
  • Connect HTTP
  • Connect JMS
  • Connect REST
  • Connect SAP
  • Connect SOAP

The types of authentication services that can be used in all of the authentication profiles are: Basic, NTLM, OAuth 1a, OAuth 2.0, Amazon Web Service (AWS), and Microsoft Azure.

Additionally, you can specify authentication profile data instances on the Environment tab of the FTP Server rules.

Note: Amazon Web Services authentication profiles and Microsoft Azure authentication profiles are supported only by Amazon S3 and Azure BLOB storage repositories; these authentication profiles are not supported in connectors.

Use the Records Explorer to list the authentication profile data instances in your system.

The Data-Admin-Security-AuthenticationProfile class contains authentication profile data instances.
