Tracking changes to a Single Value property

Updated on March 15, 2022

Pega Platform auditing can be extended to other properties such as a Single Value property.

To turn on security auditing for a Single Value property, simply add the property name to the model. If you are uncertain of the property name underlying a form field, click the Rule Data button on the toolbar to open the form’s XML.

In the following example, the property pyAuthenticationTimeout is added to the model. This tracks changes to the Authentication Usage (seconds) field in the Settings tab.

Because the field Authentication Timeout is initially blank (has no default or required value), the first value entered is noted as Added. Subsequent changes to the value are noted as Changed. If the value is eliminated and the field is left blank, the update is noted as Removed.
