Back Forward Component Object Model

The Microsoft approach to objects in a Windows setting is known as the Component Object Model (COM).

An external system that operates in a Windows environment to use the COM technology to request a service (generally an activity execution) of the your Process Commander system. The COM object (an ActiveX control in a Windows Dynamic Linked Library) is created using Microsoft Visual Studio and a Service COM rule (Rule-Service-COM rule type).
