Ordinarily, the prconfig.xml
file contains, as clear
text, the password and user name for PegaRULES database. If your
application server supports Java Cryptography Extensions (JCE), you can
identify an encryption algorithm in the crypto
elements of
the prconfig.xml
file and encrypt the information needed for
access to this database. The encrypted information file is known as the
keyring file, and is usually named
pegarules.keyring
.
Consult vendor documentation, the Configuration Settings Reference and the Installation Guide 4.2 (not a later version) for instructions on this optional security feature.C-960 R-11836
