Back Forward Password Control feature

The standard authentication functionality available is designed to be used on development systems only, and, as such, does not implement functionality such as security profiles that enforce password formats or forced password resets by default. If your organization needs to implement password controls on a development system that uses standard Process Commander authentication, use the optional password control feature. The password control feature is implemented through a RuleSet named PegaPwdControl and several data classes and data objects, including an authentication service named ExternalPassword. These items are located in a product zip file named PegaPasswordControl.ZIP in the Process Commander resource kit. The password control feature provides the following:

  1. Locate the ZIP archive containing the PegaPWDControl RuleSet from the PDN Pega Exchange area.
  2. Locate and open associated PDF document.
  3. Import the ZIP archive.
  4. Follow the instructions in the PDF document to configure the feature for your organization.

NoteAs with other items in the PDN Pega Exchange, the PegaPwdControl RuleSet is a contributed, as-is capability, not a supported Pegasystems product. You may need to adjust and adapt rules that were first developed for V5.3 to meet your needs.
