An user or manager with appropriate privileges can transfer an assignment from one worklist or workbasket to another. Transferring is also called reassigning. Three standard local flow actions support transfers:

• Transfer
• TransferToManager
• TransferToWorkbasket

The Pega-ProCom agent, as it monitors service level rules, can also transfer an assignment. For example, the standard service level rule named TransferToManager transfers any assignment that is still open at deadline time to the manager of the user's work group.

When you transfer an assignment, the assignment status — property Assign-.pyAssignmentStatus — is normally reset to Unknown. The work object status is unaffected. CLINIC 3/29/05
