Paragraph rules
Completing the New or Save As form

Create a Paragraph rule by selecting Paragraph from the User Interface category.

A Paragraph rule has two key parts:

Field	Description
Applies To	Select a class that this Paragraph rule applies to. In most cases, specify the name of the Work- class to contain the work objects that the Paragraph rule supports.
Purpose	Enter a name for this paragraph rule. Begin the name with a letter and use only alphanumeric, ampersand, and dash characters to form a Java identifier. See How to enter a Java identifier.

Rule resolution

FFTT When searching for paragraph rules, the system:

• Filters candidate rules based on a requestor's RuleSet list of RuleSets and versions
• Searches through ancestor classes in the class hierarchy for candidates when no matching rule is found in the starting class

Time-qualified and circumstance-qualified rule resolution features are not available for paragraph rules.

About Paragraph rules
