Portal rules
Completing the New or Save As form

Create a portal rule by selecting Portal from the User Interface category.

A portal rule has a single key part:

Field	Description
Name	Enter a name for the portal rule that starts with a letter and uses only letters, digits, and the dash character.

Rule resolution

FTTF When searching for a portal rule, the system:

• Filters candidate rules based on a requestor's RuleSet list of RuleSets and versions
• Finds circumstance-qualified rules that override base rules with the same key

Time-qualified resolution features are not available for portal rules. The class hierarchy is not relevant to rule resolution for portal rules.
