04-02-70 Use skin rules to identify a collection of CSS styles to be used in a portal. Separate style collections apply to the workspace, work object forms, and reporting.
Skin rules are referenced in the Skins tab of the Portal form. Users associated with the portal rule (through an access group data instance) are presented the corresponding portal layout.
Select 
> User Interface > User Screens > Portals and Skins to view the skin rules referenced by the operators who can access the current application.
To support application testing while using the
Designer Studio, you can also reference a skin rule in the Run
Process In group of the General preferences. If
not blank, this skin overrides — for tests and previews only
— the skin identified in the portal. GRP-503
You can define a skin rule for User portals through the text file rules, binary file rules (for images) and the Skin rule form, or create the major colors, fonts, and other visual elements through a guided workflow. See About the Branding wizard. PROJ-880 5.4
If this is a circumstanced instance, modify the Short Description value. If you keep the original description, the base and circumstanced versions appear with the same names in the wizard's instance selection list. v6.1 proj-242 GRP-5980
Use the Rules Explorer to list all skin rules available to you.
Skin rules appear are part of the User Interface category. A skin rule is an instance of the Rule-PortalSkin rule type.
