Back Forward Help: Using the Class Inheritance display

Up

Reading the diagram

The class you referenced when starting the display appears at the bottom of the display. Numbered arrows indicate the order in which the system searches ancestor classes during rule resolution, and the reasons for each search. C-2542 5.2

If you start the Class Inheritance display for a rule with an Applies To key part (rather than a class), the current rule appears in the diagram with the rule instanceicon. Any rule in an ancestor class with common key parts (excluding the class) also appears. The current rule overrides any other rules of that name that appear.

For example, if your start the Class Inheritance display for a property named MyCo-Finance-Loan.Limit, other properties in ancestor classes named Limit appear. The current Limit property overrides the Limit properties in ancestor classes.
