Back Forward Designer Studio — Working with the Home Display

The Home Display displays high level information about your current application. When you switch applications, the display refreshes with information for that application.

 

Pega Task

Provides a near real-time development bulletin board that enables operators to keep track and share information about what they're working on. Common actions appear as links at the top of the section. Tasks then appear in a list format, ordered by due date. To refresh the list, click the Update list link.

The items are work objects but do not appear on application worklists.

Create a task

To create a new task item, click the New task link. This launches an overlay with the following options:

  1. Enter a short description of the task item in the first text input.
  2. Optionally, add detailed information in the second text area.
  3. In the Shared with drop down menu, select:
  4. Optionally, enter a Due date using the calendar control. The due date determines the list sort order. The task with the most recent due date appears at the top of the list. Tasks without due dates are grouped below the ones with dates; the most recently added item appears at the top of this group.
  5. Click Create to publish the task and close the dialog. Click Create + to publish the task and keep the dialog open so that you can enter another task.

Once created, tasks appear in a read only, ordered list. Double click any task to open it for edit.

Complete, claim, or withdraw tasks

Filter the display

To filter the items in the display, click Filter list. The options allow you filter by:

 

Guardrail Warnings

Displays two charts showing all guardrail warnings (justified and unjustified ) that have been created within the past seven days by:

For details about the warnings, and filtering capabilities (dates, severity, and justification), click the View Warnings link to open the Summary tab on the Application Guardrails landing page.

Provides access to the Pega Discovery Network (PDN) and contains the following features:

 

My Project Worklist

Click the View PMF worklist in new window link to display your Project Worklist , which presents open user stories, tasks, bugs, and issues currently assigned to you in the Project Management Framework (PMF). Resolved items are not displayed.

This link appears only when the application is enabled for Project Management, and a communication link is active between your PRPC system and an instance of the Project Management Framework.

From this list, you can open, display, and take action on the items directly in PMF. Click View Changes to display a list of rule changes you have associated with project items or a list of all rule changes associated with project items in the application.

If PMF Feedback is enabled in the application, click View Recent Feedback to display recently created feedback items for the product associated with this application. Click an item's feedback ID to view additional information about the item.

Click Refresh iconto refresh the worklist with new work assignments and remove resolved work.

Field

Description

Priority The priority assigned to the project item.
Name Short description of the project item.
ID The identifier assigned to the project item.
Status The current status of the project item.
