Create a Database Table data instance by selecting Database Table
from the SysAdmin
category.
Before you create a Database Table instance, confirm that:
You don't need to create a Database Table instance for each concrete class. At runtime, to locate a database table for an object, the system uses pattern inheritance and class groups to locate the appropriate table. If none is found, it uses the "catch-all" default table pr_other
.
The following tools and wizards let you create database tables indirectly, without using the Database Table form:
The key to a Database Table instance is the name of a PRPC class:

Select the name of an abstract or concrete class to be linked with a database table. Don't create a Database Table instance for a class that is a subclass of a container class of a class group; it will be ignored. All instances (that is, all table rows) of all classes in a class group are stored together in one table; that is the purpose of a class group. |
