Back Forward Common name

For brevity, documentation refers to single instances (saved, persistent objects) of a specific rule type with an ordinary English word or phrase, known as the common name.

For example, the common name of an instance of the Rule-Obj-Property rule type is property. The following phrases are equivalent:

Similarly, common names are assigned to many types of persistent objects derived from the Data- base class, such as Operator ID (for an instance of the Data-Admin-Operator-ID class).
