Java Runtime Environment (JRE)

PRPC requires Sun Microsystems' Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to be installed on the each server node. Details on the latest versions supported and JRE settings are available in the Platform Support Guide, available on the PDN.

PRPC does not require Java on workstations. No Java applets are used, except for the remote logging client (a debugging aid) and a demonstration feature of the Locale Settings tool.
