Security auditing

History feature

By implementing the optional security audit feature, your application can supplement and extend the detail captures in the default History Details display for a data instance or rule.

This can improve compliance reporting and controls over sensitive data values, such as access groups in the Operator ID instance.

For example, you can modify the processing to record the "before" value of selected changed data fields.

Log-in failures

The concrete class Log-SecurityAudit contains an instance for each failed attempted login to a PRPC system. The standard list view report Log-SecurityAudit.ListOfLoginFailures provides a basic report on this class.

The security alert SECU0006 appears in the security log to report "excessive" login failures of one operator ID.
