This field appears only when the file type is JS . Select to compactify the JavaScript source code — making it require less workstation memory and shorter to transmit — for best performance. Clear to simplify JavaScript debugging.
This field is ignored if the user preference Disable Compacting (in the JavaScript subgroup, General preferences group) is checked.

Enter the contents of the rule. The text can contain JavaScript source code, HTML, style definitions, or other values.
Click() to open a text editor such as Notepad. If the file has a CSS, HTM, or JS file type, the editor that opens depends on Windows file associations on your workstation. To view or change this setting:
- Start the Windows Explorer.
- Select Tools > Folders Options
- Click the File Types tab
