Working with saved settings
|
|
Save the current state of the Application Document wizard to import your settings into another system and speed up future iterations.
Save a new setting
- Click Save on any step of the wizard to open the Save Document Wizard window.
- In the Name field, type a name for your setting without any special characters. Alternatively, type the name of a previously saved setting to overwrite it.
- Click OK to close the window.
Load an existing setting
- Select the Use saved settings option in Step 1 of the wizard. You must have at least one saved setting in the system for this option to appear.
- Review the list of saved settings. Click any row to start the wizard with the selected setting.
Values in the section of the wizard become read-only after you load a saved setting.
Delete a setting
You can only delete a setting after it has been loaded.
Click the Delete button in the footer of the wizard to remove the setting. You must restart the wizard after deleting any setting.
Package a setting
- Use the Package option in the Actions menu to create an archive of your settings.
- In the Package Document settings window, click the link to download a zip file to your local system. You can then import this file into another system and load it using the Use saved settings option in the wizard.
Using the Package option automatically creates a saved setting named "[your application name]Docwizard". If a saved setting with this name already exists, the system appends a number to the name.
