 Cross-browser support for user portals

Users expect to be able to use the browser of their choice when interacting with an application through a browser. To ensure your application works properly with versions of all supported browsers, develop your user interface with composite portals. Composite portals use harnesses, for which Pega 7 generates cross-browser, standards compliant code.

NOTE: A number of Pega 7 features rely on ActiveX controls which are only supported by Internet Explorer. Applications that expect to support access from Firefox, Chrome or Safari browsers may not leverage these Pega 7 features or include new functions that require ActiveX controls.
