Customizing Pega Mobile Client

You can customize the different icons and splash screen for Pega Mobile Client. You can also change the default banner that appears to users in web browsers prompting to download the hybrid mobile app. This is accomplished by changing the settings in the Map tab of the application rule form - see Mobile settings reference.

Branding your app

You can customize the image files that are displayed as the icons for your hybrid mobile application on a mobile device and in an app store.

1. Open the Map tab of the application rule form.
2. From the App branding customization section, select the Customize icons and splash screens check box.
3. Download the "assets.zip" file that is located in the PDN article How to build and brand a hybrid mobile application to your local computer.
4. Open the ZIP file and replace the default image files with your own.
   
   Note: The file names, structures, and sizes of your new images must be IDENTICAL to those in the default "assets.zip" file.
5. Click the Upload Assets ZIP button and upload the new ZIP file.

Creating app banner

You can create a banner that appears in mobile web browsers that prompts users to download your hybrid mobile application from an app store. To use this feature:

1. From the Smart app banner section, select the Publish to users via check box.
2. Click the gear icon that is next to the Icon for app banner field.
3. Select the image that you want to use for the custom banner image that displays as this user prompt.
