An eForm rule contains an Acrobat PDF file that contains interactive field definitions. Such rules can be used to create documents and attachments (PDF files) where the value of fields is derived from properties.
PDF forms, once flattened to prevent later changes to field values, are highly secure.
An eForm rule is an instance of the Rule-File-eForm rule type. A related rule type, Rule-Map-eForm, defines a mapping between fields in a PDF form and clipboard properties. The Code-Pega-eForm class includes properties and activities that support operations on PDF forms and PDF documents. These together provide the SmartForms capability.
