hierarchy
Like other object-oriented software facilities, PRPC uses hierarchical structures and inheritance to allow both sharing of rules and specialization (particularization) of rules. Three similar but distinct hierarchies are available:
- The class hierarchy, which governs rule inheritance (Rule-Obj-Class rule type)
- The organization hierarchy, which affects work item routing and reporting (Data-Admin-Organization, Data-Admin-OrgDivision, and Data-Admin-OrgUnit classes)
- Hierarchy rules, which support the definition and use of other tree structures in your application (Rule-Define-Hierarchy rule type)
